Pali Village — Hotel in Mira-Bhayander

Have been at Pali Village a number of times over the years, but this time it was a "very disappointing experience". This time I thought of bringing the family along to enjoy what we have been enjoying but things started by being told at the reception (with no regrets whatsoever) that the online reservations are not entertained. We had to then sit in the AC section, not our choice as we always found the outside sitting more enriching experience.

Then came to the service, we sensed a tiff between our servers and the captain (the one takes the order). We ordered for multiple starters in veg n nonveg, yet got served incomplete order. Then almost an hour passed and our main course order found no takers. After multiple "excuse me calls" our captian arrived and took our order for the main course. While on the table next to us arrived after us and left befor us. The service waiter informed us that there's pressure on kitchen staff, being weekend with fully packed restaurant. Not sure why were we choosen to bear the brunt for them not being prepared to entertain customers. It was not 11:38 pm, still no response the staff. Our hunger had left waiting for anything. We decided to leave the place, paid for what we ordered, only ro our surprise noticed that the starters we had ordered but was not served was also included in the bill.

The disappointing food became the least of our worries. The butter garlic prawns were chewy, the chiken which promised a layer of cheese had non. The mojito was a bubbling joke. The kichiya papad was ok.

Some of my family member's had travelled from Kalyan on my recommendation of this place. We couldn't wait any longer to be served. Ended up going home as having things from refrigerator.

Don't know whom to blame - the weekend rush / unprepared management / lack of staff / or simply our luck.

No apologies from the staff as they were not realising what goes into an experience. Just when we were stepping out of the property, one gentalman (who didn't introduced himself, assuming he was manager) apologized.

But our hungry stomachs had no strength to accept/reply/complaint do anything but head home.

After this I don't think would...

I visited on Saturday with my cousins. Didn't like the service over there so we order for cold coffee, coffee and sandwich we who was taking the order we told him to the coffee 1st and later the sandwich after telling them also they didn't the coffee 1st and after calling them so much get the coffee they just brought the cold coffee and not the got coffee and the cold coffee didn't have test at all I was feeling I was having chocolate milkshake. And later they brought the sandwich but they didn't get the hot coffee yet after telling them get the coffee 1st. And when the hot coffee cake it was too milky not coffee test at all and when told them get coffee powder for us we was 6 of us to have coffee and they brought coffee powder so little.. next day the breakfast morning tea and water was served but not coffee and when we told the waiter coffee is not there so they said no so we told them you'll can make for us in that also they said no we told them get 6 caps of milk and we brought our own coffee packets they was to wait staff we told one and the other one guy also went both of them and they took alot of time to get the milk. And when the milk came after telling them 6 cups milk they brought 6 glass of milk that also that big glass which we may go in west. We told manager was like no so we told them that we had told them for cups and not glass so he was like we serve coffee in glass only like seriously coffee in that big glass ... So the manager told if youl wanted coffee youl should say but they are boys staff said no... Remaining everything was good room service was fast with they are service only restaurant service needs to be well...

Sunday night @ 10:45 we got the place where at other places we were told to wait for an hour. So thats + point. We were a group of 9 people and 3 kids. We all liked the place, interior and over spread of this property. They have created the look of village which is eye catching, and kids loved it...!!! They have ample of space to sit and have food. AC as well as non AC. Service was ok. One of the AC was not working. They took lot of time to serve each dish. Food was ok. Somehow in every dish there was less salt!!! So it's really difficult to judge food as basic ingredient was missing!!! Compare to chicken, we liked the veg dishes( paneer starter and jeera rice,dal tadka!!!)so overall food is ok.. but must try for the experience and ambiance. We might try this again in weekdays or little early to experience difference if any!!! Nothing special for kids. Very low lighting...
