Pipul Sea View Resort — Hotel in Odisha

I recently stayed at this hotel and was very disappointed with the room service. From start to finish, the experience was frustrating and far below expectations for a hotel of this caliber.

First, I called room service and was placed on hold for over 10 minutes before someone finally took my order. When the food arrived, it was nearly 45 minutes late and lukewarm at best. I had ordered a simple club sandwich and fries — nothing complicated — yet the sandwich was soggy, the fries were cold, and part of the order (a drink and condiments) was missing.

I immediately called to report the issue, but no one answered after multiple tries. When I finally got through, the staff offered no apology or solution — just a vague “we’ll look into it.” No one followed up, and nothing was done to correct the situation during the rest of my stay.

What made it worse was the price. For the quality (or lack thereof), the meal was extremely overpriced. I would have expected better service from a budget hotel, let alone one that claims to be high-end.

Room service is supposed to be a convenience, but in this case, it was a hassle and left a negative impression on my entire stay. I hope the management takes this feedback seriously, because this level of service is simply...

Definitely one of the best hotels in Gopalpur that is worth every penny you spend. Just make sure to book the family room which is huge and would accommodate at least 2-2.5 standard hotel rooms within the space that you get. There is an enormous verandah as well from where you can see the outline of the sea. One disadvantage is that this is located some distance from the beach (around 1-1.5 kms). There is internet within the room as well as well as an LCD TV with all the channels for you to enjoy. Again make to take the family sized room which is a bit expensive but the space you get is worth that small extra amount. The other rooms this hotel has pales in comparison to the family-sized rooms, there are only 2 such rooms in the hotel.

The food is pretty great as well. It is worth every amount you spend as you get enormous amounts and you can customize the spices as per your requirements.

I absolutely hated this place. Firstly they charged us more for a double bedded room. We had booked through make my trip and at the time of booking they said they'd provide us a double bedded room and arrnage for an extra bed in order to accommodate 4 of us. Hearing so, we booked a room. But when we reached there, they said they would not be able to accommodate 4 of us and could only allow 3. We told them about what they had assured us before the booking but they still kept urguing. Well, after requesting a lot, they at last agreed to arrange for an extra bed. They charged 500 for that bed, but did not provide proper blancket. It was the month of January. Their food was absolutely bad.
