Purbi Beach Resort — Hotel in Odisha

I am going to share my experience with Purbi Beach Resort where I will share both pros and cons about the hotel.

Pros :

Location is good and easy communication. Roads are wide enough for four wheeler vehicles. Parking area is wide and compatible for nearly 8 four wheelers. Check-in and check-out processes are fast and easy. Rooms are available is best price. Price may vary in different seasons but negligible. Sitting facility available in the reception counter. All types of payment methods like cash, debit or credit card, UPI accepted here. Rooms are clean and hygienic. Both television and AC were working well. Best designed exteriors with variety of ideas. Garden area attracts everyone to enjoy the day with your partner, family, etc. Bathrooms are wide enough and all amenities were working perfectly. There's a shop inside the resort where you will get snacks, cold drinks & soft drinks, and many more but it will be closed by 8 PM in the evening and again it will open at 9 AM in the morning. Can order food from them. Adjacent to beach so that you will get beach view easily and can go to the beach through it's back gate. Staffs are very polite and friendly. In the front gate of resort there's an ATM where you can withdraw cash so no issue for cash.

Cons :

Need some direction signals from the road. I had a bad experience in my dinner as I had told the staff not to make the food spicy but they did opposite to it for which I faced issue and I had to adjust that food as it was night. Food prices are higher than usual. I don't think the prices are justified according to food quality and quantity.

Purbi Beach Resort is one of the more popular resorts in Chandipur, known for its very good location, beach access, and decent amenities.

What’s good: Location & View: One of its biggest strengths is its proximity to the sea. The property is almost right up to the beach, with private or semi-private beach access, which is rare in Chandipur. Guests often mention waking up to sea views from the lawn or walking directly to the shore.

Ambience: The resort has a nice garden/lawn, which is well maintained. There are open spaces for relaxation, sitting areas facing the beach, good for families, weekend getaways, photography, etc.

Staff & service: Many reviews compliment the staff as polite, helpful, cooperative, for going the extra mile. What needs improvement: Food Quality & Menu: Mixed opinions on this. Pricing vs Facilities: A few guests feel the tariff is a bit high relative to what is offered in certain rooms. Some expected more modern amenities than what they got.

Overall impression: Purbi Beach Resort is a good mid-range option in Chandipur: excellent location, decent comfort, good staff, and a relaxing ambience facing the beach. Purbi Beach Resort spawns right at the chandipur beach. They have a personal entrance area to the beach. The entrance, reception, and lawn area are aesthetic and beautifully decorated. They have small seating circles and jhoolas (swings) for guests at the lawn/garden area to hangout and chill. Tariff rates are extremely affordable. Rooms have basic amenities, e.g., air conditioner, tv, geyser but they dont have ceiling fans in cottages. Cottages are provided with decent stand fans. We stayed in cottage and the interior was very different compared to the exterior of the hotel. The cottage we stayed had different floor tiles in places, no dressing mirror, and the furniture lacked synchronization. They do not have complementary tea or breakfast. Complementary packaged water bottles, soap, and shampoo are however provided. They have a dining area where you can buy ice cream. Food quality is very basic, taste needs improvement. They also provide help with local sightseeing tours.

*Rooms need modification for aesthetical appeal. *Cleanliness is okay. Could be better. *Staff behavior is good.
