Terrible experience 😤 We (a group of 6 people) have booked this property via Agoda, a month back from the intended visit date to Pondi. I personally followed-up with the property manager (Shaan) via whatsapp and multiple calls for confirming the booking, but there wasn't any response at all, and two days prior to the check-in date, he gave us the booking confirmation. Even though we got the booking and payment confirmation via Agoda, I wanted to get this stability from the property management as well. Anyways, on the other hand, during the time of Check-in, after reaching this poorly located Le Poshe luxury hotel (to note : a building located somewhere outside the main area in a very narrow street with no parking facilities at all)
The property manager (Mr. SHAAN) asked us to wait wait and wait forever, reason being it was Ayutha Pooja, and they have to distribute stuffs to workers on priority. We waited for more than half and hour, we almost lost our patience, and when requested about the readiness for the check-in, he simply told us that our 2bhk apartment which was booked, confirmed and fully paid by me via Agoda has been provided to someother guest who reached the hotel before we arrived. Seems like the room that was booked by the other client had some meter box issue (this was an obvious drama by the staffs, who were not even ready to show us the room that had this issue).
They were asking us to goto another property which they referred, and when we enquired more about the reason for abruptly giving away the apartment to another client , Mr. Shaan told us that the other client made a direct payment to the hotel in-person and not via Agoda.
Very poor management, we wasted half day arguing with these people to give us the 2bhk apartment that was booked+paid by us via Agoda, and we had to cancel our other plans to explore PY only because of this.
At a certain point, the property manager along with the other staffs had "no answers" for the enquiries that we asked regarding this, and he threatened us saying "we have all rights ro reject ur booking". With no option for us in-hand at that time, we had to move to some other hotel.
Very bad experience i would say, i even informed Mr.Shaan before check-in saying that I'm on my way to the property, pls keep the rooms tidy and all those things, even he acknowledged as "okay mam, u can come", and when reached the venue, he simply told us that the apartment was given to someone else without our consent, just because they made an extra payment to the hotel itself directly in-person.

Read moreI recently stayed at LePoshe and was disappointed with the POOR SANITATION STANDARDS & the service was nothing short of pathetic.
We were a part of 15 that has prebooked our rooms yet when we arrived there was NO MANAGER at the reception. There was one housekeeping staff(we knew because she was wearing a jacket) & 2 other women who were plainly dressed. They delayed the checkin since they clearly had no idea how to proceed with the process.
Despite prior bookings additional towels & bedding weren't provided till we called repeatedly and checked in on them. We finally had to contact the owner - Krishna to elicit a response. We received the bedding but had to wait till midnight for the bedsheets and blankets. All of this after a journey of 6hrs on the road & prior bookings.
To add insult to injury, the apartment offered a pre-packed meal brought from outside in the name of breakfast minus coffee/tea! It appears their idea of breakfast as a meal is one without a beverage! We had specifically asked for an early breakfast(early being 8) but that too required several calls and visits to the reception to finally get delivered by 845 by the same disgruntled women who welcomed us the previous evening. The food quality was subpar with no options and miniscule quantity with sour idlis, stale sambar, rock like halwa, stale chapati & raw channa in the channa-masala & NO COFFEE/TEA UNLESS YOU PAY FOR IT. All of this after charging us claiming they have breakfast in-house. The quality itself makes it inedible and the quantity is no where worth the charges!
All of this coupled with stench of the open drains overflowing everywhere made for a terrible experience at Pondicherry as a whole! Have shared pictures of the locality as well.
Overall, I was highly dissatisfied with the poor service and the lack of affordable food options. I do not recommend LE POSHE to anyone looking for a comfortable and clean stay. Pay a bit more and might as well stay at the French...
Read moreMy bad experience with Le Poshe Luxury: I have booked 3 nights of stay from Thursday to Saturday thru Agoda App for a family of 4 members. On the day of check in, the person at reception said since I did not make payment at the time of Booking, they can confirm only for 2 nights (week days) only and he did not make any other attempt other than asking us to reach out to Agoda to sort out this issue. The person at reception knows Agoda booking does not ask for payment. They were simply blaming me for not making payment at the time of booking and cannot provide accommodation for 3 nights. I tried calling agoda, but no use as the number provided on the agoda website are invalid. I had left the hotel with my family in search of another accommodation. We still do not know the reason for not honoring our booking thru Agoda.
The attitude shown by the person at reception is very bad and rude and not suitable to handle front desk. There is no concern and commitment from the reception staff. Stay away from such fraudulent accommodation, who do not keep up with their commitment to customers and blaming customers for their mistakes.
OVERALL IT IS A VERY BAD EXPERIENCE FOR US.
Attention to Property owner: In future, do not accept any Booking thru Agoda if you don't get booking advance money. Money is not everything. Why are you taking the Booking when the app allows booking can be done without a payment? Also, ask the folks sitting at the reception desk to handle customers with some courtesy and keep up the commitment given.
Attention to AGODA: As an aggregator, you should check with customers too for the reason on non-fulfillment of the booking. The property managers cannot deny an accommodation for not paying the booking amount online. It was not our fault. The app does give an option to book without payment.
