RAMYA REGENCY THIRUNALLAR | KARAIKAL — Hotel in Puducherry

The problem in hotels around a temple is they are all cramped because they come up one after the other with no proper planning. So if you need to get a hotel with some space to breathe you need to look a little further from the temple. This is what I did and I chose this hotel because it looked spacious in the photos on the website and other reviews. I would say I was not disappointed as the hotel had a large lobby with ample space to park. I noticed that several other prominent well known hotels closer to the temple were built edge to edge which I do not prefer. However the temple is a good one kilometer away but this should not be a problem for those who have a vehicle. In any case you need to walk to the temple for at least half a kilometer. At Rs.1500 per day (24 hours) it was not a bad bargain. This is the least sized room with a double bed, air conditioner, tv and a good toilet. But the buffet breakfast at Rs.80 per head was a big letdown. I cannot understand how in Karaikal (though not proper Tamilnadu as it is in Pondicherry), a restaurant could not make idlis and dosas as per South Indian taste. The instant Bru coffee was pathetic as I left the cup after two sips. I did not have lunch and dinner so I cannot comment on these. Otherwise my one day stay (morning to evening) was...

Due to last minutes issue with Oyo's another property, I called to ramyaas regency for room to book via Oyo, Hotel requested me to don't book it via Oyo, they asked to visit and pay the amount what is shown in app. But after entered into hotel, receptionist not agreed to pay the amount which is shown in app, I called owner, he refused that he did not accepted for that. I felt ashamed of fake people. Really felt that my integrity s tampered there. Simple, this hotel s money minded. Finally they charged 600rs more than which s shown in Oyo..

Ac and heater was found faulty No towel was provided Bed was not at all...

I booked the hotel through oyo aap and made online payment .but when i reached the hotel the asked 500 rupees more .i was forced to pay at that particular situation. No receipt was given for the extra money they charged. And also i added complimentory break fast in the booking ,for the breakfast also they charged extra amounts.so please dont be get cheated by the wrong prices they have displayed.and before booking room here please make call to the hotel and collect the exact information Otherwise you might...
