DO NOT BOOK THIS HOTEL Everything is broken at this hotel and what is intact is not working. I booked this property for 2 nights with breakfast but couldn't even had one breakfast as it was soo bad which is unimaginable being in Punjab and getting cold food served. We reached the location at midnight and found hotel location is incorrect on Google maps and nobody picked out calls on the given numbers. No water bottles, towels were given, bathroom shower was broken and they offered us a room with broken walls. So we had to adjust with broken shower room. TV's were either not working or broken as well. Swimming pool was so dirty that you can't even dip your feets in it. It would be better if they had closed the pool and saved some water instead. Parking is available on Indian oil petrol pump property so you've to find a spot for you every time you come back. Every sightseeing spot is just 20-30 minutes away but they should renovate the property before opening it for the public.

Our stay at Hotel Escala by Level Up was nothing short of a nightmare. We had booked 5 rooms with breakfast and dinner included, but the experience was far from what we expected. The staff lacked basic manners and had no sense of hospitality. Dinner was the worst part – the food was cold, left unattended, and there was no staff around to assist. When we asked for something as simple as lemon, they couldn’t provide it. Shockingly, they also failed to supply drinking water. The service was abysmal. Ordering an omelette took an unbearable 45 minutes, and even then, we were met with excuses like, *"Your order will come soon."* It felt like no one cared about the guests’ comfort or satisfaction. This was the worst experience we’ve ever had at a hotel. A roadside dhaba would have been a far better option, both in terms of food quality and service. I strongly advise avoiding this place if you value your time, money, and peace of mind.

They promise to refund excess amount paid to them but they have no intention to refund the same. Moreover when you tell them that you will be forced to let people know that they have not refunded after committing their GM Ankur Mehra says words like " Threatening is not going to you anywhere" The hotel is run by a group called Level Up which runs several other hotels in Amritsar but they cannot refund a small sum of Rs. 4000/- extra paid to them. Attached are the screenshots of them accepting that additional payment was made to them and they agreed to refund. Rs. 4000/- is not a very big amount but not refunding the amount after accepting that excess has been paid and that it will be cleared reflects on the highly unprofessional approach either by the company or their representative Mr. Ankur. Please be careful before dealing with this group.

Room hygiene was there but the room sizes was not good, the walls were not straight which was giving a feeling of a sarai. Now if I talk about service Point 1: Not a good hospitality by the staff, the guests are not greeted by anyone, just giving a feeling of roadside rest inn Point 2: no staff for getting luggage load unload, just a pitty security guard who takes care of gate and also help in luggage, Point 3: if I a say about the entrance, the entrance was quite expensive because the hotel entrance is from a petrol pump, which is also quite dangerous because of frequent heavy vehicles being getting refilled, Point4: now let’s talk about the ultimate restaurant service, I ordered some food without onion and garlic, and u guys will not believe what the staff did, firstly they provided me stale dishes and how I came to know is that they picked up onion pieces from the dish but some how it was my fate that a piece of onion was left and it was in my plate and this has resulted by hurting my sentiments, firstly I ignored it and asked the staff to accept their mistake but guys won’t believe they just took this as nothing serious mistake they have done and also I humbly asked them can we order from Swiggy which they told no sir u can’t as it’s against the hotel policies,I was travelling with small kids and when I reported this to the reception manger he informed this to the GM of that hotel( who was not looking like a GM) he was in very casual dress with baggy and torned jeans and T-shirt,because of this behaviour we told the staff to checkout which somehow agreed after heated arguments, and we asked for the refund, that so called GM initially told us that the refund will be processed but they turned back and denied after only 5 minutes, Although that amount is not the challenge but the problem I felt guilty in front of my friends and family because of the bad and worst hospitality of the staff we had to carry our luggage and shift to another hotel, and best part is it was already 10 pm...

Extremely Disappointing Experience!

I regret choosing this hotel for our stay. The management is insufficient and poorly trained, leading to an overall substandard hospitality experience. Our room was unclean and infested with ants. When we requested a change, the alternative rooms we were shown were in even worse condition.

The breakfast menu is very limited, and the hotel lacks a proper restaurant—just a small sit-out near the swimming pool. The staff appeared clueless about basic hospitality services that any standard hotel should offer. Adding to the inconvenience, hot water is only available after 7:30 AM, which can completely disrupt early morning sightseeing plans.

One of the biggest drawbacks is the location. The hotel is outside Amritsar city, beyond the Golden Gate, making it inconvenient to visit key attractions like the Golden Temple, the airport, and the Wagah Border.

The hotel seems overburdened, as it operates not just as a hotel but also houses a fuel station and a gym for outsiders. This division of focus likely contributes to the poor service standards.

I deeply regret booking through MakeMyTrip for this holiday and would not recommend this hotel to anyone seeking a pleasant stay...

Hotel Review Rating: 1/5 stars

I recently stayed at this hotel, and unfortunately, it fell short of expectations. The property's condition is not as advertised, with ongoing maintenance work that affects the overall ambiance.

Staff: The staff appears to be untrained, and their appearance is unprofessional. Their attire is not up to par, even compared to my own maid's standards.

Food Service: Surprisingly, security personnel were serving food, which raises concerns about the hotel's operational efficiency.

Overall Experience: I wouldn't recommend this hotel to others. Significant improvements are needed in staff training, property maintenance, and operational management.

Suggestions for Improvement:

Staff Training: Provide regular training sessions to enhance staff professionalism and efficiency. Property Maintenance: Complete maintenance work promptly to ensure a comfortable stay for guests. Operational Efficiency: Review and refine operational procedures to avoid role confusion, such as security staff serving food.

Until these issues are addressed, I wouldn't consider staying at this...
