Dear Mr. Amarnath,

I am writing to formally express my deep disappointment and concern regarding the unpleasant experience I faced during my recent 3-night stay at Ramada Encore. While the first two days were satisfactory, the last night turned out to be extremely distressing for me and my family.

On the final evening, a large group of around 15 individuals gathered in the room adjacent to ours. They were drinking heavily, smoking inside the room and corridors, and creating a loud and highly disturbing environment. The entire floor was filled with the smell of smoke, making it extremely uncomfortable and unsafe — especially as I was traveling with family members including my father (senior citizen) and my 3 year old daughter .

Despite informing the front office and requesting immediate intervention, the management could not convince the group to stop. When the situation became unbearable, I had to personally request the staff to change my rooms. Initially, they were only willing to shift one of the two rooms, and it was only after repeated and strong requests that they finally agreed to move both of my rooms late at night.

This entire experience was highly inconvenient, unprofessional, and completely contrary to the standards expected from a reputed brand like Ramada.

What further added to my disappointment was that when I requested your contact details to escalate the matter, the front desk staff refused to share your number or email address. This lack of transparency and accountability reflects poorly on the property’s guest-handling standards.

As a paying guest, I firmly believe it was the hotel’s responsibility to ensure a safe, peaceful, and smoke-free environment for all — particularly for families and senior citizens. Guests indulging in such disruptive and unsafe activities should have been relocated, not the families who were following the rules.

I sincerely hope you will take this matter seriously and initiate strict corrective measures so that no future guest has to experience such an unpleasant situation. I also expect a formal acknowledgment of this email and an assurance that appropriate action...

Disappointing Stay – Not Worth the 4-Star Label

We checked in late, dropped our bags, and went out again. At check-in, we noticed some issues with the AC and were told it would be fixed as we come back. At our return, they had simply changed the AC to “air-only mode”—completely disabling its cooling function—and left the temperature set to 19°C, making the room uncomfortably cold and humid instead of resolving the issue properly.

When I requested a room change, the front desk initially claimed the hotel was fully booked. But once I pointed out the AC issue and the air-only setting, they suddenly found another room and moved us from Room 2009 to 2004. That shift in response made it clear they weren’t being upfront.

We had breakfast and dinner included in our booking. While dinner wasn’t refused, they didn’t offer a buffet because they only open buffet when they have more than 20 guests. Instead, we were served a small, limited à la carte menu—just one option for a starter, one dessert, and very few mains. All this while still claiming the hotel was fully booked. It simply doesn’t match up to 4-star expectations and feels like a budget hotel experience.

I’m here for two more nights and already regret booking this place. I wouldn’t be surprised if I just get a copy-paste “we regret the inconvenience” message after I check out.

Do yourself a favor and avoid this hotel. Poor service, dishonesty, and substandard facilities will leave...

Fantastic Stay at Hotel Encore Ramada. Location of hotel is good it on Rajasansi Airport road approx 4 Km from Amritsar bypass just after slip road ends. (when I visited I was worried I should take slip road to reach but it was on main road after approx 400meters end of slip road) Valet parking is there, no worry to find space for parking. Check-in was very smooth. At reception they provide all details of your stay and dining options. We stayed in 3rd floor , room is newly built and refreshing. It has all amenities , running hot water, four bottles of drinking water, electric kettle etc. soap shampoo moisturizer , hair brush, dental kit , shaving kit provided in room. Room has a mini fridge (thank god, it was empty if it is stuffed our naughty kids surly use them and increases our bill). Kids enjoyed a lot but disappointed with TV as no cartoon / kids channel is working. Hotel has a gym but due to time shortage, we had not used it. We choose breakfast in our pack, it was very good specially our kids enjoyed a good breakfast. It has many options from north indian , south indian. My kids liked waffles and pan cake. Breakfast service is best. Staff is always there to help. There is both veg and non-veg options. I liked idle, poha and smoothie. I had not gone through there menu or dinner so no comments on that. Food has 10/10 rating. Hotel has...

Disappointing Stay - Would Not Recommend I chose this hotel due to its proximity to the airport, as my family and I had an early flight the next morning. Unfortunately, our experience was far from what we expected, especially given the hotel’s high ratings. The problems began at check-in, where it took over 45 minutes just to get the keys for the three rooms we had booked. The receptionist kept juggling between guests instead of assisting one at a time, creating unnecessary delays. Later, we ordered tea, which took nearly an hour to arrive and tasted awful—like hot water with a faint hint of tea. The biggest issue, however, was the noise. The hotel is located next to a resort where a loud party was taking place. The windows did little to block the sound, and it felt as though the music was playing right in our rooms. Despite being assured by the receptionist that the noise would stop by 1 AM, it continued until 3:30 AM. This left us with no sleep at all before our 4 AM wake-up for the flight. On top of it all, there were 2 guys doing weed right in front of our room. Overall, this stay was a nightmare. The high ratings and reviews are misleading, and I strongly advise others to avoid this hotel. There are surely better options nearby for anyone seeking a restful and hassle-free experience.

Horrific. Beware before booking. Very unsafe hotel, poor experience. I was staying at Ramada Encore by Whyndham Amritsar given the reputation and hospitality of Ramada Group at other places in India. A 5-8 feet long glass fell on my parked car inside the hotel premises which has a vallet facility. The hotel management informed after the incident that a pre schedule and planned maintenance activity was being done at 5th floor where the glass ceiling was being fixed. Without removing the car or barricading the ground floor the activity continued. The glass could have fallen on anyone/staff or guests at hotel as people take a walk or move in the open area smoke, due to hotel being a no smoking property. Anyone could have been inside the car and could have been fatal. The management earlier agreed to bear all damage and losses, but after a general diary entry was made by police about the incident; the management backtracked saying the damages should be repaired by me using my own insurance from authorised Sevice centre. The hotel management has denied to compensate for any damage and get the car repaired at the official Volkswagen’s service centre at Amritsar.

We stayed with them for one day and when we entered the room there were dead insects on the washroom floor and inside the seat. When we went to the pool there were insects breeding inside the water and let me tell you they were ALIVE and alot of them also in the other corner of the pool there were dead insects. We entered the pool around 10 in the morning so just 3 hours after cleaning so why were there dead insects. When we reported the whole issue they didn’t co operate well. Their swimming pool engineer Mr. Amrit was not even ready to listen at all and escorted us out. I also have pictures and videos.
