Awesome is an understatement! The entire experience for me, my family and our friends accompanying us was out of the world! We stayed at the Haveli during 15-16 Dec 2015.
Firstly, the entire booking experience including the conversation with Mr. Narinderjit Singh - the owner was wonderful. We were provided with much more amenities than that was the understanding.
Post reaching the Haveli, which is at least 400 years old, was with a warm welcome followed immediately with an authentic Punjabi lunch. Lip smacking food enthralled our taste buds. Yummmm!!
That afternoon we visited the Wagah border. On our return, we were served with ginger tea, paneer pakodas, and french fries alongside the swimming pool, with bon fire and live Punjabi Bhangra. It was an experience. While it was just the time for dinner, starters were served and then dinner. Dinner included freshly plucked sarson from the backyard cooked with loads of taste and makke di roti. Needless to say, we freaked out!
The next day we had a grand layout of breakfast and then we proceeded for the farm visit. With horses, cows, goat, camel, dogs and cats on the farm, "the Old McDonald had a farm" rhyme came alive for the kids to be busy with!
While the kids were busy, we got an opportunity to take a walk in the nearby fields. Being December, the pea pods in the farms around were in full bloom. Walking in the peas fields, plucking them and eating is kinda experience which cannot be described in words. Further were the mustard farms - again in full bloom - all yellow - the tune of DDLJ song - "Kheton mein lehraye sarson" strummed by the blowing winds...
The stay at the Haveli was very amazing. Warm cozy rooms, warmer hospitality and awesome food is the combo to experience. A television free environment can be such wonderful experience! The website pictures just come alive when you reach the Haveli. Mr Singh himself is such a warmly person. He has so much of experience and knowledge to share with! Conversations with him were so much informative. The people we met around who stayed too in other rooms, were from good background. We had conversations with those families and it made the entire experience much more interesting.
Would like to visit this place again. Look...

The managers are rude and consider "room service" and "house keeping" as an obligation on room occupants. Their only botheration is to make you check out at the soonest so that the next set of gullible guests can be buffooned inside the property. ||||The hotel (if we may even call it as one) has a big signboard that says "We are only Charging for Food. The Rooms provided to You are Complimentary". ||The property is merely luring people in the name of a very less tariff of a Thousand Bucks per Head (which includes anyone above the age of 2 years), which in hindsight will come up to 4,000 per family per room. Anyone could get a decent 3 Star property in Amritsar for this price incl breakfast buffet.||Hygeine is a concept alien to them. Water from the washrooms stinks. Flies can be found in the buffet food. Mosquitoes are in aplenty because of the fields around. ||||The only saving grace can be the Evening Cultural Performance called "Gatka - A War Dance of Punjabis) and the free rides on camels, horses or tractors for kids. ||||NRIs and People from other states may feel excited to visit the property because of rare similar properties in Punjab and proximity to Amritsar. This property is surely a "misnomer" to the Grand concept called "Punjabi...
