Awesome is an understatement! The entire experience for me, my family and our friends accompanying us was out of the world! We stayed at the Haveli during 15-16 Dec 2015.

Firstly, the entire booking experience including the conversation with Mr. Narinderjit Singh - the owner was wonderful. We were provided with much more amenities than that was the understanding.

Post reaching the Haveli, which is at least 400 years old, was with a warm welcome followed immediately with an authentic Punjabi lunch. Lip smacking food enthralled our taste buds. Yummmm!!

That afternoon we visited the Wagah border. On our return, we were served with ginger tea, paneer pakodas, and french fries alongside the swimming pool, with bon fire and live Punjabi Bhangra. It was an experience. While it was just the time for dinner, starters were served and then dinner. Dinner included freshly plucked sarson from the backyard cooked with loads of taste and makke di roti. Needless to say, we freaked out!

The next day we had a grand layout of breakfast and then we proceeded for the farm visit. With horses, cows, goat, camel, dogs and cats on the farm, "the Old McDonald had a farm" rhyme came alive for the kids to be busy with!

While the kids were busy, we got an opportunity to take a walk in the nearby fields. Being December, the pea pods in the farms around were in full bloom. Walking in the peas fields, plucking them and eating is kinda experience which cannot be described in words. Further were the mustard farms - again in full bloom - all yellow - the tune of DDLJ song - "Kheton mein lehraye sarson" strummed by the blowing winds...

The stay at the Haveli was very amazing. Warm cozy rooms, warmer hospitality and awesome food is the combo to experience. A television free environment can be such wonderful experience! The website pictures just come alive when you reach the Haveli. Mr Singh himself is such a warmly person. He has so much of experience and knowledge to share with! Conversations with him were so much informative. The people we met around who stayed too in other rooms, were from good background. We had conversations with those families and it made the entire experience much more interesting.

Would like to visit this place again. Look...

In case there is any other review other than 1, it is a paid review or review by friends of the owners themselves. ||||The staff has been hired from local villages around who have no experience in hospitality. The managers are rude and consider "room service" and "house keeping" as an obligation on room occupants. Their only botheration is to make you check out at the soonest so that the next set of gullible guests can be buffooned inside the property. ||||The hotel (if we may even call it as one) has a big signboard that says "We are only Charging for Food. The Rooms provided to You are Complimentary". ||The property is merely luring people in the name of a very less tariff of a Thousand Bucks per Head (which includes anyone above the age of 2 years), which in hindsight will come up to 4,000 per family per room. Anyone could get a decent 3 Star property in Amritsar for this price incl breakfast buffet.||Hygeine is a concept alien to them. Water from the washrooms stinks. Flies can be found in the buffet food. Mosquitoes are in aplenty because of the fields around. ||||The only saving grace can be the Evening Cultural Performance called "Gatka - A War Dance of Punjabis) and the free rides on camels, horses or tractors for kids. ||||NRIs and People from other states may feel excited to visit the property because of rare similar properties in Punjab and proximity to Amritsar. This property is surely a "misnomer" to the Grand concept called "Punjabi...

This place is in Amritsar and before the gurudwara golden temple. Its an amazing place that charge you 1050/- per person for staying there and rest everything is free. The timings are from 12pm-12pm next day which means you get one night stay there. The rooms are fully cleaned with AC , mirror , 2/3 beds , 1 washroom. The stay is very lavish. You will get only bisleri water bottle there. You need to book your room before reaching there in advance. You will get cold drink on reaching there. Then you will get lunch just like in a hotel, after then you can enjoy in pool with your family , then you will get tea/coffee/lassi and a hell lot of snacks to eat. There will be then camel/horse/tractor ride to enjoy. After it then there will gatka performance by sardar people and you will get snacks to eat , after performance is over there will be dinner , then what next just sleep and tomorrow morning you'll get breakfast and then you have to leave your room by 11am.

This is best place to come with your friends and family for 1 night stay and eat hell lot of food , enjoy pool and gatka...

Rooms- one 7 people room (1 bath), one 10 people room (3 bath), two four people rooms. Try to avoid the 7 people room- you will thank me later :) Bed- those with sensitive skin, bring your bed sheet. Otherwise they are comfortable. Bathing water stinks, especially the hot one. Hospitality and staff- extremely poor. Not courteous at all besides the security gaurd I guess. They would like to tell you what you should be doing at most times. Some will beg for tips here. Pool- one of the few fun parts of this place. Water clean but not the pool. Food- very disappointing. Wedding like food. Re heated tea. They did keep fresh tea in the morning outside the room which was good gesture but not so good tea. Food also gets cold very quickly in the AC. Horse ride- its a joke. Tractor ride- for those who have never seen it closely, it would make a good selfie. Very short ride, nothing special. Martial arts- it was fine with a few moments of brilliance. Still entertaining. Pesticide- a bit too much. But perhaps a necessity.

Place is located at 20 min drive from main city of Amritsar . Three stars only for the activities conducted . Rest all is ordinary property charges rs 1250 per person and claims to charge only for food which is a little on higher side. Nothing too fancy about the rooms we booked for 5 guests and we were given only 1 room to accomodate. We reached the place early and requested for early check-in but we were denied & to our surprise 10 mins later we were told by receptionist if you pay extra for breakfast we will be allowed to check in early. We were disappointed on this behaviour of staff. You will be given 3 meals and snacks twice in this package. Management should look into it Rest all was okay

This original haveli provides an amazing village-life experience. It spans an expansive area amongst the fields with designated areas for stay and recreation. The rooms are spacious, have intricate decor and some also include an added twist! The food is tasty and sumptuous. You must definitely try their great parathas, paneer sabz and Lassi! There are lot of activities such as swimming pools, tractor cart, bullock cart, horse, and Jeep rides to ensure fun for the entire family. A definite recommendation if you are in Amritsar and want to enjoy village life!
