Upon arriving to Camp Land’s End, I was immediately treated like family by the family that owns the Camp Land’s End resort. I first placed my belongings in the cozy, thatched hut, which I later learned is traditional Rajasthani architecture to aid with insulation during the summer and winters. Soon after, I am fed delicious traditional Rajasthani cuisine and dine with Jameer, one of the owners of Camp Land’ End. While we eat, I admire the stunning photography from Pushkar’s annual festival that adorns the dining room walls.
On the premises are also a swimming pool and wellness space, which aid in a relaxing experience at the resort. The wellness space is very versatile. A fitting space for evening dining, drinking, and gathering. As well as yoga or exercise during the day. These premises are surrounded by the breathtaking mountains and desert landscape of the Rajasthan region.
For dinner, local villagers assist in the preparation to provide an authentic culinary experience to the region. One local villager prepares grilled millet bread, called bajra, in a traditional clay stove, called a chulha. The chulha is also used to grill meats and vegetables. Staying at Camp Land’s End was an enriching immersive cultural experience.
The meals are served buffet style to enjoy the full breadth of Rajasthani cuisine. A few of my favorite dishes included mutton, tomato curry, and gatta curry, which is made from chickpea flour.
Camp Land’s End is a wonderful place to stay if you are looking for a resort that not only has wonderful amenities, but will also treat you like family. Camp Land's End is a perfect escape from your hectic life. From its tasteful design, close proximity to nature, excellent hospitality and friendly owners, to its curated menu of farm fresh food and stunning views of the infinity pool from the hillside, it truly is an exceptional experience.
On our wedding anniversary, we were given special treatment and made to feel welcome and appreciated. They arranged a special pool side private dinner for us. If you are celebrating any special occasion with them, they perform a ritual where locals dressed beautifully come beating dhols and gongs and carry torches while the lights of the entire property are switched off, creating a surreal experience. The rooms were impeccably clean and the linens were of the finest quality. Moreover, the owner Mr. Sameer took the time to wish us a happy anniversary, which was a truly thoughtful gesture.
The staff (specially Mr. Sheru) were all very friendly and attentive. Mr. Yogendra is a great host and excellent conversationalist. They were always ready to help us with anything and their attention to detail was extraordinary. From the personalized and customized amenities to the way the staff and owner celebrated our anniversary, it was a very special experience.
Being a Rajasthani ourselves we know the level of hospitality and warmth we can offer but the team at Camp Land's End has raised the bar so high that it can't be matched.
Overall, we had a wonderful stay at this unique and taste boutique hotel. The exceptional hospitality and attention to detail was outstanding, making it a truly unique experience. If you're looking for a tranquil, luxurious escape, this is definitely the place for you. We visited...
Read moreThe lockdown kept us so homebound that when we finally stepped out, we knew it had to be a safe haven. Travelling with our 5 year old had to have some basic requirements, so when we were recommended Camp Lands End by Raghu we knew it would tick all the boxes of comfort, liesure and safety.
The entire team at Camp Lands End is so hospitable and warm, keeping safety and hygiene standards at priority that it makes you feel at home , the minute you step in.
The spacious cottages amidst wilderness, with tastefully done interiors, locally thatched roof stole our hearts. The Kadhai shaped wash basin and earthen spout needs a special mention.
The breathtaking view form the infinity swimming pool is just beyond imagination, when wilderness takes a front seat as you sip a glass of wine on the pool deck or by the little bar under the open sky, you are one with nature.
The authentic flavours of Rajasthan warmly curated by Bhabisa were a culinary experice of a lifetime! We were made to taste some Camp secret recipes which left us wanting more the next day.. specially recommend the Camp's Special Fried Eggs made by Sameer Da.
The entire team went beyond and was very accommodating to the need of our 5 year old, they even took her on a little farm trip to feed the chicks.
The trek to the dunes guided by JP, was a lovely hike up with the view of the setting sun.
Overall the idea of living in wilderness, far away from any technology really refreshed and rejuvenated us completely.
If you are looking to step out and relax your nerves , we highly recommend Camp Lands End for a getaway with family, friends or just by yourself, it will leave you spell bound.
