Like Stars on Sand As a photographer, I have always had the natural inclination towards scenic beauty and I have to say that this is one of the places, which has astounded me. Away from the buzzing city of Jaipur, India’s largest salt lake, Sambhar Lake is located. It was my prime shooting spot.

In desperate attempt to find a decent stay near Sambhar Lake, I came across ‘Sand to Snow- Adventure Co’ a property close to the location. It is a beautiful and peaceful stay for adventure and nature lovers who love to spend time in a relaxing place in the middle of nowhere away from all the partying and light pollution. Infinite white Salt deposit right opposite to my tent and the spotting of white flamingoes was a cherry on the top. The Property owner, Mr. Neeraj and his family were so warm and welcoming that I did not even feel like I am meeting a bunch of strangers. A special shout out to their adorable pet dogs (Jack and Jill) as well.

As the day was taking off and the sun was about to rest, I saw the most beautiful thing ever. The orange rays of the setting sun filled the sky with the white sand reflecting the same. This view was nature’s way of motivating me to go forward with the shoot.

After a small tea break , I was strolling in the property near my tent still mesmerised by the evening view. When I thought the day could not get any better is when I witnessed something breathtaking. As I was noticing the clear and starry sky, I saw a bunch of stars crumbled together forming a straight line from North to South. It was not a cloud or a mist. For a second I could not believe my eyes. Was it what I thought it was? I had to be sure so I opened up (Sky Tracker App) and the white line on the sky and my phone merged into one and there it was OUR MILKY-WAY. Can you believe it? our freaking milky way!!. Was i high on nature? No amount of words can describe how I felt at that moment. Never in my life had I thought I would witness this with my naked eyes. It gave me goosebumps.

The hospitality and the breathtaking views made this stay and the shoot a surreal experience, which is worth reliving again for sure.

To all you photographers, travellers, stargazers out there ,this is one of few places in india to be added in your bucket list at least once. Whether you are a solo traveler or a pack, this place is really peaceful .Even for woman who want to explore their solo travel experience, this would be your safest and best place to live...

A Truly Memorable Stay at Camp Sambhar Resort 💐❤️

Our stay at Camp Sambhar Resort was nothing short of magical — a perfect blend of nature, comfort, and heartfelt hospitality.

Our first outstation trip with our little prince Aarush made it even more special and unforgettable. The natural beauty of the salt lake, the pollution-free, neat and clean environment, and the cozy, well-maintained tents created a peaceful and homely atmosphere. The calm surroundings and fresh air made every moment refreshing and full of positive energy. The entire staff was warm, polite, and always ready to help. Their sincerity hard work and commitments made to their owner and customers are appreciable. A special appreciation to Mr. Neeraj, the owner, for his kind and generous hospitality. He personally ensured every guest felt valued and comfortable. His humble nature and attention to detail reflect beautifully in every corner of the resort. The food was delicious, the poolside karaoke night under the moonlight was full of fun and laughter, and the luxurious train journey around the lake , nothing less than a royal Maharaja-style experience — added even more sparkle to our trip. Watching pink flamingos by the shimmering salt lake was simply breathtaking. This stay was not just a trip but a beautiful memory of togetherness, joy, and peace that will stay in our hearts forever.

A big heartfelt thanks to the entire Camp Sambhar team and to Mr. Neeraj for their warmth, kindness, and exceptional hospitality. Highly recommended to everyone looking for beauty, comfort, and soulful relaxation in a pollution-free natural paradise. ❤️

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ – Simply the Best Stay in Sambhar❤️Keep it up Mr Neeraj 💐

With warm regards and gratitude, Naresh Khanna, Arun, Ashmita, Lakshay &...

I recently had the pleasure of spending a weekend at Camp Sambhar, and it turned out to be an absolutely fantastic experience. From the moment I arrived until the day I left, every aspect of the camp exceeded my expectations.

The natural beauty that surrounds Camp Sambhar is breathtaking. Nestled in the heart of nature, the campsite offers a serene and tranquil environment, providing the perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. The well-maintained grounds and scenic views create an atmosphere of peace and relaxation.

The staff at Camp Sambhar deserves special mention for their exceptional hospitality. Friendly, attentive, and always ready to assist, they went above and beyond to ensure that every guest felt welcomed and comfortable. Their passion for the outdoors and commitment to providing a memorable experience truly set the camp apart.

Accommodations at Camp Sambhar are both cozy and well-equipped. The tents are spacious, offering a blend of comfort and an authentic camping experience. The sound of rustling leaves and distant wildlife made for a peaceful night's sleep, and waking up to the sounds of nature was a refreshing change from the usual cityscape.

One of the highlights of my stay was the delicious food served at the camp. The culinary team at Camp Sambhar truly knows how to satisfy diverse tastes.

In conclusion, Camp Sambhar provides an idyllic setting for those seeking a memorable outdoor experience. Whether you're a solo traveler, a couple, or a family, this camp offers a perfect blend of nature, adventure, and relaxation. We were a group of 4 friends who needed a break from the busy schedule of corporate world. So we took up this totally unplanned trip where our motive was to explore the unexplored. So after reaching jaipur we went for some local sight seeing but that idea of ours was quite mainstream . Then we decided to take self drive car from Jaipur & started our journey towards sambhar where we got our very first experience of camping . So we found this beautiful camp site on google & contacted Mr. Neeraj( Owner cum Manager of this site). After asking all the details we drove straight away from Jaipur to Sambhar. We started our journey at 6 pm & reached at 9pm . The road heading towards sambhar becomes a bit scary at night as this place is quite far from cities. After reaching we had our dinner ,then we experienced bonfire & star gazing with Mr. Neeraj & his wife Ms. Suman. Both of them made us feel just like a family. They both along with their daughter reside at this place itself & will definitely make your stay even more pleasant. I would suggest this place to everyone who's fond of camping & need a break from busy lifestyle of metro cities. #chaar_yaar #exploring_the_unexplored

A great place to enjoy your weekend. Sitting under the open sky , gazing at the stars, nothing to hinder your view for miles long, Shimmering lights in the lake at far distance. The train tracks laid down for the salt trains if lucky can also catch the famous salt train ( was not operational due to COVID). The perfect bonfire required in the winters and the absolutely fresh beddings for the tent. The place provided for one of the best and close to nature stays you can have. Miles long salt beds are a wonderful place to visit. Great places for photos and adrenaline rush. Ratan talab is a place where you can find rescued birds from the place. The pink salt collection pans are a sight to behold. Neeraj the host at camp sabhar was a great person to interact with giving a lot of insights about the Old Sambhar town and places in Rajasthan. You should definitely interact with him if he is available on the property. It would be more enjoyable if you go in groups. Easy and comfortable driving from Delhi. Must visit once.
