We recently stayed at this bungalow with a group of 12, and while there were some good aspects, there are a few things you should be aware of before booking.

First off, the staircase shown in the photos seems more for show. You’ll actually need to use a different staircase that’s a bit awkwardly placed, and we noticed a lot of flies in that area.

Another thing to keep in mind is that the owner lives on the ground floor. This setup might make you feel a bit less private during your stay.Also owner does't interfere at all that's a positive point.

We also ran into some issues with the amenities. The geysers weren’t working, and there were a few electricity problems. Plus, it turns out that two of the rooms share one bathroom, which was a bit inconvenient.

On the positive side, the rooms themselves were very nice and well-maintained. The garden and pool were also in great shape and added to the appeal of the place.

We found the food to be hit or miss. Lunch was delicious, but dinner didn’t quite live up to the same standard. The à la carte options we ordered varied in quality, and there was a noticeable shortage of staff, which meant we often had to go downstairs for assistance.

The house’s interior was attractive, but the lobby doesn’t have centralised air conditioning, so it can get quite humid. Also, there are no TVs, and the jacuzzi doesn’t have hot water.

Overall, while the villa has its positives, including good food and a pleasant environment, it felt a bit overpriced given the issues we encountered. It could benefit from better hospitality and more accurate representation on booking sites...

Castle Oodeypore is a gem of a place. We have been to Udaipur many times before, but never have we had a stay as wonderful as we did here. . Located in a secluded area surrounded by nature, it is perfect for families looking for a rejuvenating getaway. The homestay is beautifully designed, furnished, decorated and maintained. Nirmal Ma’am’s art around the house gives it a very special and personal touch. . The hospitality is unmatched. We felt welcomed, valued and at home. The very proactive house helps were always available for assistance. The owners were very accommodative about our requests and went out of the way to get us what we needed. No requirement of ours remained unattended and we are very appreciative of the same. . We got our four legged family members along to this pet friendly property and they had a great time exploring the lawns and playing with their dogs Coco and Jedi. . The food deserves a special mention. All the meals we had in the castle blew our mind. The chefs are highly skilled at retrieving most delicious flavours from humble ingredients. They are well versed in variety of cuisines ranging from Indian to Chinese and Continental, and they ace them all. We will not forget the taste of our dinners there for a long time to come. It was honest, great food prepared with love and care. .
