We stayed over a weekend here. It is not a resort but a 2 star boutique hotel with a pure vegetarian restaurant.
Warning for old/ aged- They don't have lift/ elevator and one needs to climb 50-80 steps. On ground floor they have shops and reception/ dining hall on first floor. Rooms are like 2 floors above reception.
Service - I guess owners have hired local people who try their best but lack of training/ professionalism is very visible in tone, tenor and mannerisms. Owners should invest in training and personal development of their staff and help them elevate their skills.
Location - very close to fort and right on the main road. One can reach here easily and safely even at night. Note that Kumbhalgarh gets secluded at night.
Food - We had buffet breakfast. Items were very limited (4 or 5 with tea and hot milk) but food was tasty.
Room - the room we stayed in was clean and spacious. It looked like it was newly constructed. There was no electrical kettle and green tea/ coffee powder etc. Linen was clean.
Bathroom and toiletries - bathroom was quite big and clean. Only Bathing towels were provided and they were clean and fresh. There were no toiletries provided except a hand soap. It had a geyser for hot water.
Outdoors - the outdoors of hotel has been done quite creatively given that its a small hotel and have limited space. They have a swimming pool on top floor with some attractive landscaping around it but one has to climb 4 floors to...
Read morewhile returning from kumbalgarh fort, your driver is likely to recommend this place to eat. I dont know exactly but i suspect a commission based incentive. when we entered, we noticed all tourists. There was a lot of hustle bustle. So, if you wish to eat in peace, avoid straightaway. then comes the restaurant. They wont take orders for a single rajasthani thali(reason given: min order is for 2 since there are a number of dishes to be made). they dont have half the menu available. they will not make b'fast items in lunch. One of the staff tried to convince me that a limca made in 2020 is manufactured in 2021 :-) the food is nothing to write home about..its oil heavy and imbalanced spices. service is lethargic and prices right up there with the stars. overall : best avoided unless you are really...
Read moreWent to kumbhalgarh with family and got delayed in booking a room for us, so ended booking at Garh Kumbha but we didn't regret our decision at all. The rooms are very spacious, bathrooms are huge and the place is located very close to the Kumbhalgarh Fort. Food at the hotel was really good, their tea was out of this world, and the staff was very polite and helpful. They serve buffet for breakfast, lunch and dinner, along with the a la carte menu, which I would suggest that go for the buffet which has plenty of options.
Also before booking online speak to them over the phone, they might give you a...
