We, a big family group, stayed in your resort at Viratnagar, from 15th Aug. to 17th Aug. in the building beside the big lawn, next to the gazebo.
We had mixed experience, good and bad; and I trust it’s important for your management/ owner to know about our experiences.
The location of the resort & the overall ambiance is very good. Parking management was good. Staff was prompt & cooperative, though some of them were not neatly dressed. Food was most of the times good, except at few occasions. Hygiene was of acceptable standards. The lawn was well maintained. The room furniture & the overall construction quality of the property are reasonably good.
But few things were completely out of order, which caused a lot of disappointment, inconvenience & frustration among all of us, and are listed as follows:
Welcome drink was not served; no one even offered drinking water, while we had reached there after a travel of 5-6 hours. (Might be considered as a very minor issue, whereas, this is not a question of drink, but a matter of respect you offer to your guests). You should mention on all your booking portals that - At present the “SWIMMING POOL” is under construction & a “SPLASH POOL/ KIDS’ POOL” is available. Reception, Dinning & Indoor games are in one hall – Very strange, inconvenient & impractical arrangement. There is no lift in the building; and our 90 years old mother was with us. Hope one can imagine the inconvenience caused to our very elderly mother, due to this problem. No intercom, No Wi-Fi. Even the mobile network was also very poor. When asked about these basic requirements – the staff could not give any satisfactory answer. (We felt like living in the STONE AGE & not in the 21st century) Room entrance door has sliding door bolt & pad lock from outside; & tower bolt from inside. Not even a normal mortise lock with latch bolt. No door stopper Only one chair provided for a double occupancy room, There was no door mat Only one pair of sleepers was provided in a double occupancy room.
Bathroom: Same problem as above about Lock/ latch Not a single robe hook provided in the bathroom (Lack of basic common sense)
So, this is how we all managed to use the bathroom, by hanging clothes on Geyser wire – One example out of many. Not a single shelf provided to keep things (Lack of basic common sense) Hand towel was provided after request (Basic requirement) Exhaust fan was very noisy & not in proper working order. Floor wiper was provided after request (Basic requirement) Towels provided were very old & dirty. Replaced on request.
Suggestions (Because “Aesthetics” and “Convinience of the User” are very important factors in the Hospitality Business):
Health Faucet/ Ablution hose – Should be on the right hand side & not on the left hand side of the person using WC. Towel rail - very high to be used by a person of normal height Gap between two bath windows (At glass) – Privacy compromised Mirror not aligned with the wash basin – Aesthetics/ common sense
Last but not The Least: Either please use all “High End” material & workman ship; OR Use all “Low End” material & workman ship. Do not mix “High End” & “Low End” stuff. Example – Wooden material is good but the fittings used on the wooden items are Sub-standard & outdated. Hope this review helps you improve the quality of...
Read moreHello,
My overall rating for this place is average. I would give 2.5, but Google goes not allow me to do that. So, I choose a lower figure - 2. The reason for this choice, instead of 3, would be made clear in the description of the hotel below.
Pros:
1.) The approach to the hotel is fantastic as it is located on the main road of Virat Nagar near Sariska.
2.) The look of the hotel is quite good from outside and inside. At night the lightings and fountain are excellent.
3.) The location of the resort in a rural area makes it an ideal location for an evening or an after-dinner walk.
4.) The big lawn and the chairs that are provided for relaxing outdoors are an icing on the cake.
5.) This place serves as a great one if you want to hold large gatherings with buffet dinner. Also, there is a huge shed that serves as a perfect bar joint with a proper bartender's table.
6.) On a hot summer day, the air conditioning provided in the rooms is one of the best.
7.) Bedding and and the rooms as a whole are clean. But this mainly refers to luxury rooms, as I was staying with my family over there.
8.) The food is excellent.
9.) Ample parking space is present in the property.
10.) The staff is polite and soft-spoken.
11.) It is nearer to other sight-seeing places in Virat Nagar - like Parshwanath Jain Temple, Bheem Gupha, Hanuman Temple and others.
Cons:
1.) The biggest turnoffs in our experience were the toilet flushes. One use by us renders them useless. We faced a lot of problem trying to follow up with them and got our room changed. Even in the new room, the flush problem existed for a while before it subsided.
2.) The water outlets in one bathroom were blocked. Thankfully, the other outlet was working and we had a hard time mopping the waste water over there.
3.) The bath fittings are quite complicated and it took a lot of effort to understand their usage.
4.) The commodes were polluted by rust and we had to follow up with their staff twice in order to get them cleaned.
5.) The cups provided in the room to prepare our tea/coffee smelt of naphthalene balls. We had to get these changed as it was too strong.
6.) The phone, used in order to contact the reception, went out of order later in the day of our arrival.
7.) Basic requirements like water bottle need multiple follow ups.
8.) The swimming pool that they provide to their visitors had unclean water. Going by my experience, I am sure that would have required at least 10 follow ups with the staff.
9.) They told us that they have WiFi facility in the hotel, but when we reached, we found out that this only existed for the dining hall area. The main areas of usage, the rooms, are out of the range.
10.) It is slightly far (about 26 km) from the Sariska Tiger Reserve. But this is not an issue if you have your own vehicle.
11.) The tea and coffee taste was poor. They were not strong enough.
Conclusion :
I would recommend this hotel as a moderately acceptable choice - the recommendation would have been 100% had the washrooms been perfectly running. In case you have another hotel with good reviews, nearer to Sariska Tiger Reserve, I would suggest booking that.
But above all, before going into any hotel, please check for the basic cleanliness as well as the washroom functioning before settling over.
Thank you for...
Read moreVery impolite staff. Arrogance was writ large on face, tone and language. We had a tiff with hotel manager who claimed to be owner since he refused when we asked for billiards table but have the same to others. When we demanded to know why he said the other group had snatched away the key to the table. The hotel staff were menacing in their approach. We thought of complaining to police but then decided not to spoil our weekend and checked out. The rooms were booked for two days. The hotel manager did not even have the courtesy to charge for one day since we were leaving because our mood got spoiled due to their incompetence and improper behaviour. I reserve the right to take legal action.||||Other aspects- the swimming pool is too small and has steps in the pool making it dangerous if you are not careful. The food is bad but you have very few options since you are charged for it and there are not many options.||||The rooms are spacious but the beds are in bad shape. The bathrooms are dirty and you feel cheated for the price you have been charged. Even the towels are dirty. ||||The worst was humility makes for things one may be lacking. This hotel has people who are bringing bad name for an Average Rajasthani who is known for being polite and humble. They seemed to be doing a service by opening a hotel near resort. This is not the...
