We stayed here for 2N3D in semi private pool villa. Things we liked Location is most amazing, every room has lake view. Resort itself is very beautiful and on remote island, monsoon might be the best time to visit. Great place for privacy, staff and service is good but not the best. Rooms and bathroom are spacious and tidy. If you don’t like the buffet food, you can make special request and they will make items you like for free. Suitable for couples, groups and families (not suitable for Senior citizens) Things we didn’t like : Food taste is not consistent. The first day lunch was good but the dinner was equally bad The management does not have full control on the staff. Most of the staff was polite but we got some stupid comments from staff like when ordering from room service, they said “Sab ek bar me order kijiye” and we had ordered only twice. Another stupid comment we recieved was from Buffet waiter, when cleaning our table he said “Kitna food waste kiya”. Its not reasonable to hear such things when your are paying so much money on a resort. Dining should be 24 hours as if you are travelling with babies you need it. The car parking is spacious but it is a public sightseeing location, so it will be crowdy and it will be confusing to find the hotel staff to take your luggage to boat. Too many stairs from car parking to boat and boat to reception area. Not at all suitable for senior citizens. Make sure to carry a mosquito spray as you will surely need it at night. Despite having so much space in rooms, there is no mirror, there is one in bathroom. Bar is small and not so attractive. For such an amazing island property, the bar should be bigger with attractions like LCD and music and bigger liquor menu. Visitors from outside of India will expect such bar as they wont know to bring liquor from local theka before coming to the resort. There is plenty of space so make a larger bar and a disco if possible (Like Ananta). That will definitely attract more visitors. All in all, highly suitable for Families, honeymooners and people looking for total privacy. We love to travel abroad, but due to pandemic no one car. This resort definitely filled...
Read moreStay away from this property, save your money and spend it somewhere else, its just a hyped up place with most poor conditions. Here is my feedback based of my experience of staying at Jaisamand resort(spending 30k in 2 days) this weekend in the villa suites their most premium room category.
spider webs everywhere throughout the property making it difficult to sit on chairs, walk through gardens 2 i had booked a villa suite with semi private pool, the pool was not cleaned even once in 3 days of my stay The jacuzzi too was not cleaned at all and had improper grouting on the edges along with missing tiles, leading to cuts on hands and legs The property is not maintained at all, the garden and plants are all dying, as if no one cares for it. The outdoor live food counter was the most unhygenic setup I have ever seen, completely dirty and not cleaned at all, also the staff didn’t feel much nice about their work, leading to poor services. The reception too is full of spider webs above the cctv, with ceilings broken fan broken. Also the pop in the restaurant was coming off indicating it is not maintained properly. The furniture in the villa suites seemed to need repainting, all in all no maintenance done. Shower heads of villa suites seemed dead and would set improper flow. 10 no lights on any of the routes towards gym or spa or pool at night making it difficult to navigate Balcony wooden grill outside the villa was broken at places Chairs all rusted and uncomfortable to a huge extent. Pigeon shit all over the villa entrances and sides, with no cleaning or maintenance
I have been to many international and national resorts with similar scale and never seen such disregard of a beautiful property. I would advise the owner of the property to at least maintain the property so that the guests enjoy a new and scenic view
My stay was okayish, but I would have paid only 7-8k per night, looking at the lodge like facility in such a poorly maintained ‘villa suite’
I have sent the email to the owner of the property about this and to any traveller planning here, don’t get mesmerised, rather stay in a lake side resort in Udaipur, it would be rather...
Read moreLocation - Ok so let me start with location, the resort is located at best location anybody has imagined , it is situated in middle of island at jaisamand lake. You can watch best views from your balcony, enjoy cold Breeze. Facilities - The hotel provides all facilities like swimming pool, private pool, villa, suites, restaurant, spa, bar, indoor games, boating, rowing, safari etc. Now lets start with pros Pros- 1.) The place is heaven for couples and newly married ppl coz it provides private time away from hustle bustle of city, quiteness. 2.) You can enjoy best of nature with good views of Lake. 3.) The food restaurant serves is good , staff is friendly and takes good care. 4.) Private pools are good. 5.) The rooms are quite spacious with all facilities, big flat tv. Good bathroom, big lake facing balcony. Completely satisfied with room.
Cons- 1.) If you are coming with your family like with kids or friends there is not much to do except swimming, camel riding and boating. These things can be done in one day only. No need to stay more than one day. 2.) Food menu is quite costly and I would recommend you to take full package of breakfast, lunch and dinner. 3.) Food buffet in menu was of less variety according to costing. I have seen great variety of food in other hotels during buffet dinner. Like we were served with pav bhaji, aloo tamatar, kadhi , khichdi, matar paneer, dal, breads, ice cream, gulab jamun and soup. A good hotel with such high price already contain 3-4 starters , sizzlers, soups, Chinese items and much more to choose. So according to me don't expect much from restaurant if you're thinking to come here. 4.) The place is less maintained. The sockets were damaged. The telivision was not working. Some of the lights at night not working outside. 5.) During night there are mosquitos so you can't sit outside late for long. Conclusion - If you are couple you should definitely come here for private time. But with kids you can't have much to do except swimming. Don't expect much from restaurant menu. They really needs to improve from restaurant part cause when u are charging such high price you should give much...
