Overall Rating: 1/5 (Avoid) Name: Jeevantara resort and spa by alaya group, udaipur. My recent stay at Jeevantara resort and spa was profoundly disappointing and failed to meet even the most basic standards of hospitality advertised on their website. I strongly advise future travelers to look elsewhere. The core issues centered on poor maintenance, lack of hygiene, and non-functional amenities. Severe Hygiene and Cleanliness Issues The lack of cleanliness throughout the property was the most immediate and concerning problem. Our room, unfortunately, had a persistent and deeply unpleasant odor upon entry, suggesting poor prior sanitation and ventilation. Furthermore, the swimming pool, often a highlight of a resort stay, was visibly neglected. The water was murky and far from clean, making it unusable and posing a clear health concern. General room cleaning was also substandard, leading to a very uncomfortable environment. Broken and Misrepresented Facilities A key factor in choosing this resort was the advertised list of facilities, many of which were unavailable or broken. Specifically, the website highlights amenities like the jacuzzi and Wi-Fi, both of which were non-operational during our entire stay. When a resort explicitly lists facilities, they must be functional; their absence is a clear misrepresentation and severely impacted the quality of our trip. Poor Room Maintenance The condition of the room itself reflected a serious lack of ongoing maintenance. The windows in our room were in poor shape—whether due to damage, poor sealing, or functionality—which detracted significantly from the room's comfort and aesthetic. Coupled with the bad smell, the room felt more like a budget motel than a resort.
In summary, the resort failed to deliver a safe, clean, or comfortable stay. The combination of unacceptable hygiene standards (dirty pool, bad smells), poor room maintenance, and non-functional, falsely advertised amenities made this a thoroughly negative experience. Management needs to urgently address the operational status of their facilities and overhaul their cleaning and...
Read moreA very nice property and very big pool to swim and enjoy. I recently stayed at this resort and had a mixed experience. What I liked: The food was definitely the highlight — tasty and well-prepared. It was clear that effort was put into the meals, which we appreciated. What I didn’t like: Unfortunately, several issues affected our overall stay. On the first day, there was no warm water, and the air conditioning wasn’t working properly. The refrigerator was getting hot from outside, which felt a risk. The swimming pool was not clean, which was disappointing. Additionally, the game zone was closed throughout our stay, which limited entertainment options — especially since the resort felt quite empty, possibly due to the off-season. The staff’s attitude was quite casual. We had to remind them multiple times to get even basic things done, and there was no proper welcome upon arrival. No dental kit was provided either, which is usually a basic amenity in most resorts. Overall: While the food was good but costly, the lack of cleanliness, poor maintenance, and indifferent service affected the overall experience. With improvements in hospitality, attention to detail, and better upkeep of facilities, this resort has potential — but it fell short during our visit.Cozy stay. Rooms are very clean and spacious. Food and service is top notch. Pool was sparkling clean. Check in and billing was very smooth. Staff members are very professional and helpful. Special thanks to Anshu and her team and Digvijay and his team for making special efforts to make our stay unforgettable. We will definitely come back soon. I had a very pleasant stay at here. This property is recently took over by Alaya Stays. It is well-maintained with comfortable rooms and excellent facilities. I would especially like to acknowledge Mr. Dhupesh, Operational Manager, for his professionalism and kind hospitality. His personal attention to detail and assistance, including a thoughtful room upgrade, made the experience truly memorable. Highly recommended for anyone...
Read moreI recently had the opportunity to stay at Jeevan Tara Resort, and I must say that my experience this time was a bit disappointing compared to my previous visit. While the resort still retains its beautiful surroundings and peaceful ambiance, the service provided this year was not up to the mark.
During my previous stay, the staff at Jeevan Tara Resort was extremely attentive and went above and beyond to ensure a pleasant experience for the guests. However, this time, there seemed to be a noticeable decline in the quality of service. The staff appeared less motivated and less responsive to the needs of the guests.
One of the main issues I encountered was a lack of timely assistance. Requests for basic amenities took longer than expected to be fulfilled, and at times, we had to follow up multiple times before our needs were addressed. This was a significant departure from the efficient and prompt service I had previously experienced at the resort.
Moreover, the overall attention to detail seemed to have suffered. The room cleanliness was not up to par, and we found several small maintenance issues that were not promptly fixed. It was evident that the level of care and maintenance had decreased compared to my previous stay.
On a positive note, the resort's location and natural beauty are still outstanding. The surroundings offer a serene and picturesque environment, providing an escape from the hustle and bustle of city life. The amenities, such as the swimming pool and spa, were also well-maintained and enjoyable.
However, despite the positive aspects, the decline in service quality was a significant drawback during my recent stay at Jeevan Tara Resort. I hope the management takes note of these issues and makes the necessary improvements to ensure that future guests have a more pleasant experience.
Overall, while the resort's location and amenities are appealing, I would caution potential visitors to consider the current service quality, which fell short of my previous experience at Jeevan...
