Kanak Jaisalmer: Desert Camping Tents and Tours — Hotel in Rajasthan

I stayed in this property in November. Right from booking, I was connected with Mr. Adhiraj and Mr. Pushpendar who were extremely helpful and very approachable. The experience at Kanak was unmatched! We booked 2 Jaisalmer tents for two couples for two nights. Right from the time of booking, Mr. Adhiraj checked on our arrival, if we needed a cab or any other requests. There are many desert tents around Sam dunes but too crowded. This property was not too crowded as they only have 10 tents. That was my condition for booking as I was travelling from Mumbai away from the crowd to beat the crowd and hustle bustle. We were greeted with a welcome drink along with high tea. The property offered a cultural show along with some starters followed by a sumptuous thali dinner- veg and non veg which were both to the liking of my family. The next day the hotel had planned a Dune bashing for us- they took us in a Mahindra Thar to the desert for the dune bashing- an experience not to be missed! We stopped for some photos in the desert. We returned to our property for breakfast then we headed to the city to explore. Upon our return from the city tour, the hotel had arranged for a camel safari- they had camels take us to the dune (a 20-25 min camel ride to the dune where they setup chairs and had arranged for tea/ coffee, snacks facing the sunset). This view I cannot express in words and was to die for! Made the experience worth it! I had requested for the dinner at the dunes that evening as it was my anniversary. Mr. Pushpendar went out of his way to make it extra special for us- it was a private affair- the dunes lit up in lamps under the starlit sky, with a campfire and a candle lit dinner. This experience was magical and something I will never forget! The dinner served was a thali since they cook it at the property and serve us there- mind you, the food was tasty, hot and delicious! I found out it took the staff a whole of 2 hours to set the whole thing up, which showed the effort taken by each of the staff! We were surprised with an anniversary cake on behalf of the hotel.

We also had requested Mr. Pushpendar for a place to stay and eat for our driver who was with us and the staff helped ensuring his stay was taken care off. It was an excellent experience at Kanak Dessert Resort Jaisalmer. The tents are quite well designed with Air conditioning. They have 10 tents for limited guests. with that you get special personal service. The service is too good and staff is humble. Food ( breakfast , Lunch , dinner )is served fresh & gives taste of Rajasthan culture. Every Vegetable dish was made with love & care. Non Veg preparation was fresh and hence the spices & meat were giving the best test. The sweet dish like Dalia Lapsi & Moog Dal Halwa had pure ghee and tasted so great. It was not at all oily but tasted heavenly. The evening programs are truly cultural unlike some others nearby who even have Panjabi & Gujarati songs ( U have no choice but to hear them as they have loud speaker ) and dance. It’s like chos. Here it’s so serene and special with starters & drinks ( for Alcohol lovers ). The dancer & singing team is also special. I can say that as I experienced it at 3 places on my tours and this was the best !||At Kanak one would feel like royal king wherein u get to stay with extreme high standards of living. The small things are taken care ! The utensils used are so traditional that you get to see when u get welcome drink while check in or even when they serve water while u are having food. The use of plastic is minimum. It. gives you the experience of Rajasthan Royal tradition. The staff is also dressed traditional with white kurta and a traditional dhoti. ||The Camel rides & Zeep safari is well managed with ample time and u truly get Thar experience while riding on camel. The high tea is served in Dessert with a special allocated place and bit away from crowd differentiates you from other tourists for sure. The early morn Thar experience in Thar Zeep is amazing. It’s beautiful to experience sun rising n east. ||Special mention to Arif who was so humble and managed the check in and check out while also ensured all services are delivered to the best. ||If u truly want to enjoy Rajasthan dessert culture “ KANAK “ is the only way to go. Live like a King with his family or friends , relatives....

They are truly committed to providing the best customer experience that they possibly can . The Prices are ALL INCLUSIVE of - Tent + Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner + High Tea at the Dunes + Camel Safari + Dune Safari in the Jeep + Evening Cultural Programme. The tents are clean and spacious with a separate bedroom, bathroom and seating areas. Hot water and toiletries are available in the bathroom. There is a Tower AC which also has a Heater setting in the bedroom. They provide bottled mineral water as well. The food is SPECTACULAR at all the meals ! The High Tea and Sunset watching at the Dunes is a beautiful thing to experience -The Camel Safari is the way of transportation from the Camp to the Dunes . Post High Tea and Pre Dinner, there's a huge Bonfire and an enthralling Cultural Programme. The Dune Safari can be done at whatever time you choose, they are very accommodating. We chose to do it in the morning so that we could see the sunrise - I will highly recommend the same as it is a stunning sight to behold! Not only should you definitely stay at Kanak when visiting Jaisalmer, but also when you visit India in general. If you live in India, Kanak is the perfect getaway, away from the hustle and bustle of the city, and the perfect mix of nature, convenience and amenities .
