Monark Inn Stay with Elegance in Aburoad — Hotel in Rajasthan

Adding one star because that's as low as you can give. We went into the restaurant for lunch as it was right on the highway. We are a family of 5 with a little one who were all really hungry. First off, the person in there who was taking our order was outright rude and said a few items were not available of the menu. Then we placed an order for bhindi masala, Dum aloo, tawa roti, veg raita and chaanch. When the crockery was brought in, they were plastic and really dirty. We had to send a lot of the plates and bowls back. When the food arrived, the portions were unacceptable. Bhindi masala was only about 1.5 servings, Dum aloo had only 2 pieces of potato. Upon asking the waiter who took our order was rude and asked us to leave the food if we didn't like it. We have had issues in the past with food, but most of those times, the restaurant staff if acknowledging and accepting mistakes. This guy was pretending as if he was doing a favor on us by serving us food. We had to take a hungry 3 year old away to another place after waiting for 20 minutes.

Next thing, was the toilet. We asked why the toilet was soooooo filthy (fungii) and when we asked he lied stating it had been cleaned only the previous day. While it looked like it hadn't been cleaned for months. We had a diabetic patient who needed to use the facilities and upon requesting to allow us to use one of the other restrooms, he denied and said they are clean and we can use them. Worst Treatment ever by restaurant crew. We four friends pulled over at Holiday Inn en route our journey on 11th Nov., 2018 (around 3:40pm) to have tea/lunch/snacks. We occupied the seats and inquired Restaurant Attendant about tea. He plainly refused and went away, pointing to a tea stall on the other side of the highway indicating us to go there. After few minutes, I called him politely to ask about items available for lunch. He again ignored and showed us the door saying ‘Yahaan kuch nahin hai and that’s all’. We all were taken aback and felt offended at such a behaviour (We all are Officers in a Navarathna CPSU but anyways, that doesn’t matter). We got up to leave and one of my friends walked up to him to advise to be polite, gentle and respectful. But once again he said ‘Yahaan kuch nahin hai and that’s all’ and again showed us the outside door. At that time, around 40 people were having lunch and few tables were vacant. If that restaurant was full and didn’t want to entertain more visitors, they should have restricted the entry through the Gate-man standing at the main door. Holiday Inn is located by the NH 27.||Decent and clean place. Amazing and friendly staff. Big and spacious rooms. Nice big, clean and and hygienic washrooms. ||We had booked two AC rooms. ||||They have excellent room service. ||||The best part is they have their own restaurant(vegetarian, no drinks allowed).||Food is good. ||Their kitchen is visible from the dining hall and it's applaudable how well kept and clean a kitchen it is. ||||They have a pretty decent lawn. ||Kids friendly place. ||||We had an overall great experience staying there. ||||A must stop by if you are traveling...
