Dear Sridharji,
This is Dhaval Raichura from Porbandar and we have been your guest from september 06 to 09, 2015. We were three couple and we regret to inform you that we were totally unsatisfied at your hotel and also we feel shame to point out on five star hotel with not one, not two, but many of the points which had dissatisfied us and spoil our vacation mood. Below mention is the glimpse of the points of difficulties faced at your hotel:
On the very first day out of our three rooms, in one room at night 12'o'clock we have to shift our room due to the flush not working and the same work was going on from 9pm but the decision was taken at 12am after requesting your executives. And in that room our parents were staying so they have disturbed their sleep and have to transfer rooms. Is it five star management ? There was only sorry word from your executives. People come in your hotel to take rest out of the busy schedule in their routines and in hotel also we have to face this type of difficulties? Again on the next day no any type of courtesy from your staff members and reacting as if nothing happen and everything running smoothly.
With the room we thought that ok it happens but again in the breakfast on the second day we face very big problem in veg and non - veg section. We are pure vegetarian family and we face that in the sweet section we have tested one pastry which was with egg but your staff members at restaurant told that its eggless, meanwhile we had tested after that he confirm once we asked and replied us that this is with egg. Now you see how guilty we feel upon us that we had egg pastry in your hotel because THERE WAS NO MARKING IN THE SECTION OF VEG AND NON - VEG. IS THIS FIVE STAR MANAGEMENT?
Anything you order from room than it takes minimum 30 to 45 minutes. We had two example but repeated on daily basis. We order bottles of water than we have to wait for atleast 30 min for bottle to come and again our parents are diabetic patient so we have to maintain their medical time and also food time. so we rush to the department and request for water. than after exact 45 minutes we receive 2 bottles of water. And the reason we had asked that why you take so much time than we had been informed that in hotel there was rush so we couldn't manage. That means that you are not prepare for full occupancy of the hotel rooms, is it five star hotel or lodge? is this the five star management ?
We were roaming nearby your reception and we were thirsty, so we had requested for water than strictly replied no from reception that sorry we do not provide water here. Again we requested that if possible please try to manage water than the obligation part enters that we do not provide but this is staff bottles and we will provide you. We had told thank you for their obligation.
Quality of the food was not at all appreciable means on the first day we feel that it will be better if we go outside and have food. Because no taste and not at all eatable food it was. We then requested restaurant member and complaint for food quality and than on the next day it was prepare eatable food. Here also the reason for not preparing qualitative food was of rush. Means at your good hotel staff gets excited with rush and cannot manage properly. again is this the five star management ?
At the restaurant again we faced that we had ordered menu after our complaint and they had asked our likes and accordingly prepare the food but after serving the main course the sweet section took 45 minutes of waiting. when we asked that than all members gave different reply as we think they might have forgotten and then they have started late to prepare as we had placed the order during the breakfast session only than why so much of time. Again is this the five star...

I usually dont write too many negative reviews, and try to appreciate the positive side of every place, but this one is an exception. Even before arriving here, I was dreading the kind of impersonal service and âblandâ luxury I might be treated to at this very touristy and too-popular-for-its-own-good âFortâ Hotel. Especially given how much pampering we were getting treated to at the charming boutique luxury places that were off the beaten track in the last few days. And unfortunately I was not surprised at what we experienced. The natural royal-luxury vibe wasn't just there, there were too many elements that seemed contrived and cooked up for tourists(especially the Firangis). Wish we had stayed away from this one, and explored one more of those hidden gems still untouched by the opulent domestic tourists who had corrupted the Rajputana Hospitality and depleted the Luxury that flows out Spontaneous Service elements. For the money we paid, and what we got I would strongly recommend selecting a boutique palace or fort hotel than this touristy place!
With that being said, the place does come loaded with a lot of tastefully designed architecture, wicked interior decors, and tranquil experiences. Overlooking⨠the village of Delwara, and surrounded by lush green farms, this glamorously restored 18th century palac is packed with a variety of visually arresting elements. Imposing archways, Vine-entangled Turrets, Colorful Hidden Passageways, Patches of gardens in between Labyrinthine Corridors, Pretty Parakeets perched on the Jharokhas, a Royal Grand Watering Hole with chic Art Deco flourishes, Al fresco Lounge areas with stunning Views of the Aravalli mountains, the Chatter of the Kids playing in the Village below. Each of these contribute a bit in creating a storied setting - perfect for a Sexy Sundowner, a Romantic Dinner, or a Mesmerizing Lazy Lunch
LOCATION: A Quick drive away from Udaipur, and away from all the hustle and bustle of the Big city.
DINE + DRINK: The place comes with multiple options to drink and Dine, But our favourite place in the property was the DURBAR Bar. And so is the lovely OUtdoor seating where you could have your dinner or breakfast with spectacular views of the Aravalli mountains
ROOM: We stayed in a Garden Suite room, so this review is based on that; VIEW: Random restricted view of the Village; SIZE: Not as big as a usual suite, and certainly should NOT BE labeled as a suite but as a âROOMâ!!!!; AIR-CON: Perfectly functioning cooler that helped in setting the perfect room temperature; BED: Comfortable bed that played the expected part to put me to sleep; BATHROOM: Stand in shower; TOILETRIES: Decent spa quality cosmetics.
FACILITIES: Compact Gym with a basic range of weights and Cardio machines. A lovely Swimming pool that was closed due to COVID during our visit.
SERVICE: Friendly staff that took care of all my needs with a smile and made us feel well taken care of. Special Shout out to POONAM at the Bar, ROHIT at the restaurant. However the Front office staff were just pathetic!! Totally lacked the ability to offer special attention and extra care to special guests. Didnt seem to care for special occasions or our travel background, and were hell bent on only making more money by pitching to us different categories of rooms that were all empty in any case! Not the kind of hospitality we had been treated to in any of the other wonderful hotels we stayed around in Rajasthan! They certainly need some coaching and education if they have to up the bar with regards to special...

The property - it is an 18th century palace converted into a hotel and they have done a fabulous job maintaining it, keeping some things as it is and some new additions. And it is certainly different from any city based palace, and in my view, better, because of the experience it provides. It is surrounded by the Aravalli mountains. you can see the mountains and the villages from different places in the hotel. It is quiet and peaceful. The swimming pool is a decent size. You can see different birds, squirrels etc all around. There was one squirrel who came to share our breakfast everyday! My son totally enjoyed this. Take a walk early morning or in the evening to hear the birds chirping..Lots of parrots around. The restaurants are very good. We spent hours here looking out, eating, reading, chatting and just staring out. Even though we went in the midst of peak summer, it was so breezy and pleasant that there was no fan required during the breakfast and dinner sessions. Take the palace tour that the hotel organizes... interesting and fun. There are small patches of green on different levels. But be ready to climb some steps to experience the place. Location - centrally located but far from the maddening crowd...The Eklingji temple is 15 minutes drive, Srinathji is 30 minutes away, Udaipur city centre is 25-30 mins from there. Chittorgarh, haldighati etc - all not too far. Room - We got a large room with balcony and a view of the Aravalli. The ceiling was high and the room decorated tastefully and not making it feel crowded. Outside the room, a few steps down, was a small lawn with a lovely view of the mountains and the village. Watch the sunset from here. Restaurant and food - the restaurants open up to a large balcony and are at two different levels. Just sitting there and enjoying the view is great. The food is good. And you can order anything you want, from the menu or outside the menu. We stayed there for 5 nights and we got good food - whether it was Rajasthani, continental, pan-asian etc. We ordered many things outside the menu in consultation with the Chef and they all turned out to be very good. Service - i think this is the where this hotel really stands apart - service is excellent without being intrusive. They notice small things of what you like etc and take care of things to make you feel comfortable. We had a really enjoyable stay here. They have created a small home theatre which you can book to see movies from the list of movies that they have and they even serve you popcorn when you watch movies.
Overall experience was very good. But you have to stay to experience what they...
