River View Hotel & Restaurant — Hotel in Rajasthan

Arrived late in the day and must have got the last room available, behind reception desk. Room was small and had a frosted glass panel without curtains at the side of the door. When I pointed out that people could see in our room the staff covered the window with newspaper and said that we could move rooms the next day. We moved to the room next door which was bigger and didn't have an uncovered window. Staff were helpful, food was very good. We paid our food bill the night before after telling staff that we needed to leave at 6.30am the next day. No one was around so we unbolted the doors but then found that we were locked in as the gates were chained up. In Dungarpur, there are less hotel options. But I felt this hotel was little overpriced. There is no view of River from the rooms, there is a very small river stream little away from the Hotel. This may not be considered a proper resort. The only amenity was the swimming pool but it was not very clean. They have a big party lawn. The hotel is located few kms away from the city. ||The best thing about our stay was the large sized room. It was luxurious. Another good thing was their food and tea. Food is very affordable and delicious in all places in Dungarpur.||I think other options should be checked before booking...

Our recent experience at this hotel was extremely disappointing. Initially, we were quoted a lower price, but upon arrival, we were asked to pay double the amount. All previous communications from the hotel were deleted, and the staff was exceptionally rude. We observed other guests also disputing the charges and accommodations that had been promised but later denied.
