Well, the highlight of my stay was the location, there are many hotels and properties in Osian and nearby places which claim to give you the authentic Thar Desert experience but unfortunately do not live up-to the expectations, this particular camp is surrounded by sandunes and it is totally aloof from any other kind of disturbances, so you can actually have a quiet and calm stay, I loved the sunset part here, as the camp organizes sandune high-tea, and dinner where you could actually see the orange sun settling in the the desert, it is one of the most pleasing sights to watch. The food here is really good if you are looking for the Rajasthani village taste and the staff is really courteous and helpful.||||Then my experience was enhanced by the melodious tunes of the folk music of Rajasthan, being a local I have been listening to the folk music from my childhood and I love it, but seeing and experiencing it live with the local artists amidst the Sufi environment of the desert takes everything to the next level. ||||There are very less drawbacks staying at this property, one of them can be your cellphone network (it is very scarce, may be 1 bar) for the most of the people (it was added bonus for me). Read moreCamel ride and Jeep Safari is not that good for the people who have tried camel ride in Jaisalmer. But good for kids and if you just love to enjoy each other's company. I have done Jeep Safari in Jaisalmer and Abu Dhabi, so it was not even 1% of that. Or maybe we are getting late for the sunset folk music so the driver didn't show the best part of it🤭 If I talked about the Food, that's the best part with local folk singers. I wish if they include little snacks like Pakode while listening to folk music so it would be more romantic or wow. Drinks are chargeable but not costly (soft drinks). Little farm from Jodhpur city. It took us 1-1:15 hours to reach there by car.
Recommended? If you are in Jodhpur and covered almost everything thing like Fort, Umaid Bhawan (which is also not worth it), Market, Toorji Stepwell, Jaswant Thada etc so you can plan with your family and friends.
They have two slots. 1 is in the early morning and the other is at sunset.
They also have Swiss Tents but I found them a little costly for me🙈 8000 to 7000 is not for freelancers like me🤣 But with family, you can...
Read moreAfter a long journey from Jaipir, this place Rohida camp that we stayed gave us a different expeience all together. Right from our welcome to desert jeep safari, service, food, guest care was excellent. We had a bonfire with cultural event in the evening with variety of delicious food thst the staff kept serving with a big smile. Safety at the property is also very good. I'd say it's safe even if one travels alone or with a girl's group. The staff will look after your safety. Breakfast also was delicious.||Overall the view, experience and the camp site is just wow. A wonderful memory of Rajasthan since we stayed at...
