Overhyped for the price they charge. It appears that they overcharge you if they know you're not a local. We were charged 11,000 rupees for a jeep ride through the dunes, camel ride for 2, entry to Rajasthani folk entertainment, and dinner buffet. The jeep ride was less than 30 minutes, the camel ride also about 20 minutes, entertainment was great, but the food was subpar. The conditions of the entertainment and food area were quite unhygienic and people were smoking hookah right next to us. For the price we paid, we expected a much better experience. We tried to negotiate the rate before we went on the excursion, but they rushed us to get into the jeep before we could. Overall, an okay experience, but I wouldn't even pay half of what we actually paid. Do your research and negotiate on the price.
Additional important note: the resort folks guilt-tripped me and my family into taking down this review by indirectly threatening to take business away from my driver (my driver receives commission for bringing customers to them). I did take down my review to defuse tension then, but I hold firm in my feedback, especially after this sour experience of their inability to take feedback. I hope the resort can take this feedback into consideration and improve the experience...
Read moreRojani Resort is one of the Best Dessert Stays in San Dunes, Jaisalmer.
The best part of it is the location. The Sand Dunes are just opposite the entrance of the resort.
Its one in all resort you can stay here, have Jeep safari on Sand Dunes and watch sunset on Camel ride. They offer you complete packages.
You can either choose the half day tour without stay or Safari with stay at night in the camp. You should reach the resort at around 4:00 PM. First have Jeep Safari which takes around 1 Hour (Highly recommended its completely different experience) and once you back then go for Camel safari. Stay in the dessert till sunset and after sunset come back on Camel to resort. They serve snacks and Tea once you back at Camp. The Cultural program starts at 7:00 with local artist and buffet food will be served around 8:30 PM. Your half day tour ends around 10:00 and then you can come back to your hotel in Jaisalmer around 11:00 PM. Those who are staying in Camps can do star glazing in the night and and check out in the morning after breakfast.
Overall its Great experience. And Very Good Hospitality by the Resort People.
Do not forget to carry warmer cloths with you as cold breeze starts in the evening at the desert.
Enjoy...
Read moreHi All,
Please book beforehand especially if you are traveling solo, they charged too high when I reached there as my network was not working so I was not able to check the prices, min 2k -3k charges are enough where they will include everything camel safari, folk dance, fire performance and jeep safari.
Pros: Location is perfect, you will have complete desert feeling. Safe and secure. Excellent Services. 4.Great Ambience.
Cons: If you are traveling solo , check the prices before booking. I booked superior tent and it was charged high while other families /group were charged between 2k-3k. 3.food was ok ok. During Camel Safari , people will ask extra charges in 100m , 200m and they will not take you to the exact point which was booked . DO NOT PAY EXTRA AS IT IS ALREADY INCLUDED IN YOUR TENT BOOKING. They will say that taking to some point is not the part of resort. If they charge extra immediately complaint to the owner about it . I didn't paid anything extra , but families did.
I can only say they charged very high as I didn't find at first in Google and I was solo female travel and due to lack of network I faced this. Do bargain if you can.
