Shri Haldi Ghati Palace Hotel — Hotel in Rajasthan

They say that first impressions are important. yes they are but Shri Haldighati palace did not fail to repeatedly make good impressions during my entire stay. They very nicely agreed for an early check-in and despite the numbing cold of a december morning (4 o clock if i might add) there was a staff waiting for us with the doors open. The tea flavoured with ginger and cardamom was the best i ever had though i have never been a tea lover. My room was very comfortable and with all required amenities. Breakfast was a beautiful affair because i could sit al fresco right outside the restaurant and enjoy the peace and tranquility of that land along with delicious food. I ordered for cheese sandwiches and ordered them everyday for the next 3days i stayed. The staff was very polite and hospitable, infact so much so that i could easily tag this stay as one of my best ever. The management at the haldighati palace is exceptionally good, I even got a txt on my phone after my checkin to ensure that we were enjoying our stay, Subtle !! Hotel is a 2 star hotel. Cleanliness is not good at all. Toilets were dirty. Mosquitoes were waiting to welcome us. If visiting with family I suggest to stay at hotels in city Udaipur and not at Haldighati. People are allowed to drink at the restaurant of hotel. Only good thing is behavior of staff and location of museum which is just at 5 minute walk from the hotel. If you can more pay then go for the hotels at city Udaipur otherwise Not to pay more than 500 per head for one room...
