When you travel a lot, it's hard not to compare hotels, but if you do, The Suryagarh, managed by the wonderful Laurent, would easily make it to the top.
Located 20km far from Jaisalmer town, the hotel is a fantastic base to explore the nearby dunes & marvellous history of Jaisalmer town. Suryagarh is a modern day, lately constructed fort. It’s Beautifully envisioned and desthetically created. The magnanimous place gets to you. The opulence in everything created leaves you mesmerized.
We were welcomed By Mr Akshitesh & abhishek Chaudhary upon arrival. Check in formalities were swiftly completed by him. We had booked heritage category room and we were upgraded to Signature suite. Akshitesh took us to our room. Signature suite room was quite beautiful, but we felt something was missing in the room & we told same to Akshitesh & front desk manager Nafis Ahmed. Thanks to Mr Nafis Ahmed & Akshitesh we were again upgraded to Luxury suite category which was like a cherry on a cake for our 3 night stay.
As the name says luxury suit, it was top notch & luxurious. Room had the best decor which had both luxurious & aesthetic feeling. Bathroom was huge with bathtub. Suite was big, neat & clean equipped with all posh amenities. Housekeeping services were unimaginably very quick. I had never seen this much quick services in these types of hotel. It was lovely experience.
We had our daily breakfast & Dinner at the nosh. All meals served at the restaurant was scrumptious & very well balanced by taste. Buffet spread at breakfast & dinner time was impressively good. We really loved that place, it was the place where you can get socially connected with other guests & staff members. At restaurant Mr Rajeev, Anushka, Vipul, Latif & Manjeet took our great care. We requested chef Satish for avocado toast & gol gappas, we were treated with the same for our dinner. We were quite surprised that how did they get Avocados so quick in dessert area. Staff here loves keep taking challenges and completes it time and tries to bring that smile of satisfaction on face of customer.
We had a lovely chit chat with with Mr Sanju at Draksh bar over some drinks. We really felt so superb connecting with everyone in this chowk area of hotel. It was truly mesmerising & beautiful.
At a dinner time I had a reflux issue & had to rush to washroom immediately. Seeing me running in this condition out of nowhere Mr abhishek & Sanju came behind me checking if everything was all well. I was truly surprised and felt emotional seeing the great care both took at that hard time of mine. I was truly touched.
A big thanks to Guest experience manager, Mr Abhishek Chaudhary. who took care of us soo well that it was nothing less than a royal treatment. From breakfast till dinner he was on the toes for all our needs. It's rare to find a host who is so present and focused on making every stay remarkable. He is a true inspiration to others in this profession. All the best buddy you have a bright future.
What really sets this place apart is the service. You would be hard-pressed to find a hotel in the world with more attentive, refined, and personalized service. An experience we'll remember for a long time.
Thanks so you so much Laurent & his staff Mr Nafis Ahmed, Akshitesh, suyansh, Mr Rajeev, Anushka, latif, Vipul, Manjeet for taking our great care while we were staying there. Mr abhishek & Mr Sanju you both have my heart. Both are real gem & great asset to the hotel &...
Read moreMy wife and I paid almost 300 USD for a one night stay at the Suryagarh in Jaisalmer.
We hoped this would be a once in a life time experience and my wife and I were very excited that we would have a good time at the Suryagarh. We had asked in advance for an early check in time. Not only were they not able to check us in early, they were late checking us into our room. We had to wait around until 2:45 to get in our room. All together, we waited almost 3 hours to get into the room that we booked.
There was a music and dance performance at night from 7-8 pm at the Suryagarh. We attended the performance but we felt bad for the performers because the sound of power drills and electrical saws was ruining their performance. The artists were good. However, we were completely distracted and annoyed by the sounds of construction that was going on at the same time near the performers on the stage.
The Suryagarh has not yet been totally completed. Much of the grounds are still just mud and dirt. There is scaffolding and half finished buidings on the grounds of the Suryagarh. There are many construction workers walking around with ladders and tools still building the rest of the hotel.
Mosy importantly my wife and I wanted peace and quiet and to relax during our stayat the Suryagarh. Unfortunately, our experience was very stressfull and loud. We felt very sad that we spent so much money on such a terrible experience. Our decision to stay at the Suryagarh was a big mistake. We felt cheated that we had to deal with allthe construction and noise.
During breakfast there were loud children yelling and playing near our dining table. One boy kept yelling next to our table "Where are the ducks! "Where are the ducks!??!"
We complained several times about our room being too loud. They should have moved us into another room away from the loud construction.
One employee suggested that we should just hang out in the courtyard outside since it was too loud to stay inside of our room.
It seemed that there were other guests that were more important than we were. We did not seem to be the top priority. We tried many times but could not get anyone to give us change for a large bill. We wanted to tip the staff but needed smaller bills.
We couldn't get massages. We were told there were...
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of staying at Suryagarh in Jaisalmer, and it was truly a serene and peaceful experience. The mornings at this exquisite establishment were particularly enchanting, with the soothing melodies of a talented flute player filling the air, creating a calming and magical ambiance.
The staff at Suryagarh, especially in the F&B department, went above and beyond to make our stay unforgettable. Yash, in particular, deserves special recognition. His dedication to ensuring our comfort and satisfaction was unparalleled. From offering personalized dining recommendations to swiftly addressing any requests or concerns, Yash's warm and attentive service truly stood out. He not only met our expectations but consistently exceeded them, making our stay exceptional in every way. He certainly was what we referred to as the star of the show, we hope to see him again!
The culinary experience was equally remarkable. The chefs were incredibly accommodating, catering to our dietary preferences, including providing a delectable array of gluten-free options. This level of thoughtfulness and consideration is truly commendable.
I must also mention the outstanding service provided by Rahul and Aryan. Their warmth and dedication added an extra layer of comfort and hospitality to our stay.
Suryagarh in Jaisalmer is not just a place to stay; it's an oasis of tranquillity and top-notch service. I am immensely grateful for the memories created during my visit, and I highly recommend this remarkable establishment for an unforgettable stay in the heart...
