Visited the bagh in dec 2022, and though the property itself is quite big, it lacks maintenance. A little more details and fine tuning could do wonders. Rooms are quite spacious in general but the details are not correctly mentioned on their website/aggregators.. for example something as basic as a tv was not present in the room, something that I had checked with the staff whole making the booking, and the reason that we were given was "foreigners usually don't prefer tv in room". They also were not coherent in terms of what features are available in the same room type.. some of the staff members gave their honest thoughts about the allocation of rooms and told that it's upto managers/reception as they do have rooms. Secondly we also got to know that these room types are scattered across the property and some are strictly kept unavailable for foreigners which sounds totally absurd. Next cones the food which was actually good, it tasted good but lacked variety especially the breakfast buffet is very limited compared to some of the similarly ranged hotels/resorts. When a resort this big has such less breakfast options it automatically loses a few points on the go. Food was not warmed up properly and some of the food items like parathas, poori etc were being served cold. It looked like the restaurant staff were agitated if we had made any sort of request like getting a warm roti, or heating up dal. While they were pandering to the demands being made by bigger groups. So it looked like subconsciously, they were not interested in solo / couple guests. The restaurant staff especially the manager was regularly overlooking our requests and had to be requested 2-3 times for getting anything done. The reception manager as well didn't score a lot in the courteous front. We had booked a few days of stay with the hotel, and had informed the hotel that we may be running a little late and would greatly appreciate if they could just pack some food for us (a few roti or rice with dal).. just to give a background..we had the all meal unlimited plan booked for us, and we had requested the manager to get a few things packed since we could reach around 2:30pm. However he denied our request straightaway saying that the timings are from 12:30-2:30 and of you don't reach on time we won't get anything packed. We also tried to understand why that's such an impossible task to do as most of the hotels get it done, and we had requested only dal with either rice or chapati to be packed so it wasn't the entire buffet of options that we had bought that we wanted to get packed. We also offered to pay the amount incase that could get the job done. To be honest it looked very lame to get this sort of adamant negative reply back. When we finally reached after having lunch outside we got to know that the timings itself were not informed to use correctly for lunch else we would have easily made it to the hotel. To add insult to the injury, while checking out the lunch was being packed for a group of international guests as well as for a big family.. good job at selling Double standards. At checkin as well... Timings of breakfast, tea, activities were incorrectly informed to us. The housekeeping staff is actually nice though and would like to convey my regards. But the antics of the manager and the restaurant staff pit us off for the Holiday and it is for the same reason I wouldn't...

It is a huge property, covered by greenery and wildlife, with blocks of buildings in between and peacocks ! Plenty of peacocks....here, there, everywhere ! You can see them in all moods...lying down, walking, running, flying, dancing. On the welcome gate are a set of "Nagada" which is real fun to play. After checking in on reception, you will be directed towards your rooms. We had rooms in the new block which is pretty far away from the reception. The resort is spread across huge area so be prepared to walk a lot...for everything, which was totally fun ! They serve delicious food in their restaurant, variety of cuisine and taste, which can be easily digested by walking around so much. They do have an e-Rickshaw for your luggage to be transported as well as you, just holler ! Swimming pool, carrom, pool table, badminton, Indian games to be arranged at request, cycle on payment are few activities but if are even a little bit of nature and/or photography enthusiast, you can spend 2 days just doing that. we did not miss the bird sanctuary either as we spotted many different birds right there on property itself. rooms are big, amenities good enough ( our rooms did not have TV but we don't use one anyway on holidays ). Soap, shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, body lotion are provided in their big baths. The new block buildings have 3 rooms each : 2 regular and 1 big. Their service is good, people courteous and always helpful to serve and please. Overall, it was a lovely experience and if you are a nature lover you should visit here, especially to here the birds chirping and waking you up with their sweet melody, to hear those peacocks singing and dancing and to watch a beautiful sunset and NOT TO FORGET....to watch a marvellous scenes of Firefly lit ground on both sides near entrance at night to emulate literally " Taare zameen Par " ! I thought I was...
Read moreA lovely hotel to stay at .. probably the best in Bharatpur. It is well-located for visiting the Bird sanctuary in the morning, it is just 5-odd minutes drive away.||The rooms are beautiful. we were traveling with friends, and had 2 adjoining junior suites - both rooms had an extra single wood bed, all ready for the children.|Amenities in bathroom are comprehensive. I especially appreciated the fact that they had large reusable bottles for basic bathroom amenities, and refillable glass bottles for drinking water. The world can do with a little less plastic, Thank you Team Bagh!!||Great food, we had all meals in the in-house restaurant, and were never disappointed. We had daal-baati (for me), and laal maans (for the husband) for dinner. It was truly awesome!||We spent the evening in their swimming pool, it is next to the spa, and shares the changing facilities. It was nice, and at dusk, we saw a number of fruit bats in the sky. Nothing to worry though, they never came even a little close, and disappeared in just 2 minutes. Reminded me of the famous bats sightings at dusk in Bali.||Just a side-note for senior citizens - all the rooms are on ground floor, which is a plus. However, there are a couple of low stairs to get to the room. Also, I am not sure if they provide room service. ||Finally, would like to highlight and commend the restaurant staff who were always extra-helpful, and especially Bhoopendra Singh Ji at the Front Desk who was super-helpful with all my queries.|Will definitely revisit. (Everyone has already mentioned the peacocks, so I skipped that. But yes, they...
