We were here for 2 nights. Excellent property great service. People at the restaurant were very friendly and attentive. Overall staff was good. We also enjoyed a beautiful sunset from the fort roof top. Please note this property is about 60 kms from Jaisalmer so plan your activities accordingly. You will not find any decent restaurants nearby but again food at the restaurant on property is not bad at all (but may be reasonably pricey). They had a live show both nights during dinner time (8-10 pm). We enjoyed their spa and outdoor open shower attached to out room as well. Spa was clean and very relaxing. Because of the cold weather we could not use their swimming pool. Something they can improve on (if i had to nit pick): - water pressure was very low and hot water was limited (they have in room geysers) - there were no towels on the floor in spa steam/shower room and because of the oily feet, wet floor it could get very slippery and potentially a big liability for the management - consider increasing dinner time till 10:30 or maybe 11 pm. Similarly consider starting breakfast at 7 instead of 8 am. - Even though breakfast was included in our booking, person who was doing our checkout tried to charge us for 1 day of breakfast (Rs. 1100) but I would like to believe it was a genuine mistake.

The location of the resort is about 60km far from jaisalmer city, the resort is not actually in jaisalmer but it's in a place called mohangarh. So if you are going to jaisalmer to visit sandunes do make a note that SAM sand dunes are about an hour away from jaisalmer city this means that the SAM sandunes are almost 2hours away from the resort. Also the resort does not provides any complementary drop or pick up services from city or the sand dunes. This is something resort should provide considering the location is very far. There should be some complementary or paid tours from the resort. Rooms are really good and the resort initself is quite beautiful and picturesque. You will have some really good photos clicked here. The palace overall feels very calm, quiet and serene. Coming to the food, the food did not taste good at all. I think food needs a major improvement. The breakfast buffet here is not anything lavish but very basic. Given the price range of the hotel i expected a lot more from food services.

Mohangarh is the youngest fort in India which has been turned into a hotel. It is around 60km from the city of Jaisalmer. Connectivity: 2/5 Cabs are the best way to travel from Jaisalmer to Mohangarh. Will cost around ₹2500-3500. Ambience: 5/5 Ambience is superb. The fort offers a stunning view of sunrise and sunset as well. Food: 5/5 Delicious food. Achari baingan, besan halwa and kadhi are must try. Live Rajasthani folk music along with dinner also adds to the taste and ambience. Cleanliness: 3/5 Rooms are super clean. The terrace is not very clean. Most of the sitting areas are covered with dust and pigeon waste. Room service and staff: 2/5 Room service was pretty slow. Had to make two calls and wait for more than 20mins for drinking water. Also, they refill the water bottles only once a day. Anything after that is chargeable. Signal and wifi: 2/5 The wifi strength is very poor. Keeps disconnecting very frequently.

I spent two nights at Mohangarh Fort, which is an oasis of calm and luxury within an hour's drive of Jaiselmer. From the moment of arrival, when you are greeted by an extended drum roll from one of the staff members and a refreshing drink, you are treated with every courtesy and excellent service. |The grounds are beautiful, with colourful planting and a large pool, set against the background of the honey-coloured stonework of the fort building. You are free to explore the turrets, walls and rooms containing historical artefacts. We were told however that we were not allowed to walk outside of the hotel grounds as the hotel is in a border area with a military presence - and that the village does not have anything to offer the tourist!|Our room had exposed stone walls and traditionally-styled furniture, as well as a large bathroom with reliable hot water and good toiletries. The room had a/c and fans but we did not need to use these.|The restaurant service in the evening was outdoors, the magical setting enhanced by a myriald of lights and live traditional music, played from a platform which was about 20m from the nearest table, so easy to appreciate without being intrusive. |The food served in the restaurant was very good and the breakfast buffet offered all the standard fare with eggs and parathas etc prepared to order. Fresh coffee was not available, so typical of hotels in India, even those at the upper end of the market!|The hotel did not have many guests, which I think reflects it location and certainly not the quality of the hotel itself. It is a little distant from Jaiselmer, which is the nearest major tourist site, but I think it s the perfect place to stay for leaving Jaiselmer behind and wanting somewhere quiet and luxurious nearby before embarking on the next leg of a journey towards Bikaner or Jaipur. it is certainly a worthwhile diversion!|The road northeast of Mohangarh follows the Indira Gandhi Canal through pristine desert scenery, an unexpected highlight of our roadtrip. |So, if you want some elegance and luxury in proximity to Jaiselmer, do...

We recently had the pleasure of staying at the breathtaking Mohangarh Fort in Jaisalmer, and our experience was nothing short of extraordinary. This ancient fortress transported us back in time, and we couldn't have asked for a more authentic and memorable experience.

Our stay was made even more special by the exceptional services provided by the staff. First and foremost, we must mention the outstanding fort tour guided by Mr. Rajesh Nahar. His deep knowledge of the history and the incredible stories he shared about the fort were truly fascinating. Rajesh's passion for the fort's heritage was evident in his engaging and informative narration, making the tour an unforgettable experience.

As for the culinary delights, the restaurant at Mohangarh Fort, under the expert guidance of Mr. Virender Singh, was a gastronomic journey that we will cherish forever. The local cuisine served here was nothing short of exquisite. From the delectable Rajasthani thalis to the aromatic biryanis, each dish was a burst of flavors and a culinary delight. We highly recommend trying the traditional Rajasthani dishes for a true taste of the region.

The rooms were comfortable and beautifully decorated, capturing the essence of Rajasthan's regal history. The views from the fort were mesmerizing.

What truly sets Mohangarh Fort apart is the warm and attentive staff who went above and beyond to make our stay remarkable. They were always ready to assist with a smile and made us feel like royalty.

In summary, our stay at Mohangarh Fort was an unforgettable experience, thanks to the exceptional fort tour by Rajesh Nahar and the culinary masterpieces by Virender Singh. If you want to immerse yourself in the rich history and culture of Rajasthan while enjoying top-notch hospitality, look no further. We can't wait to return to this historical gem in the heart of the desert. Thank you, Mohangarh Fort, for an unforgettable journey back in time, comfortably stays, and...
