Overall the location and property is great. However the services offered are below standard. I won't suggest anyone to visit this place unless you want to ruin your vacations. We took a full package. ( You need to book a package after you book with Zostel for food and adventure. They charged us however on the property it was mentioned as) When we reached 5 in the evening we asked for tea that was in our package. However they didn't serve it even after asking for it twice. There was a cultural program at night and they served us 8-10 fryum chips and 6-7 mixed pakoras as snacks. When we asked for more they said they serve it only once. I said Okay. While having Dinner, they didn't have enough options as compared to other competitors. Only Dal Baati Churma. So in the morning, we went for a Jeep Safari. To our surprise it was a Mahindra Pickup Camper. You know the pickup truck used for transporting goods. The Driver was so unprofessional that he started driving recklessly on the stone roads instead of Dunes. We were made to sit in the open and all of us were getting shockwaves as the campervan was hitting the stones. It was not an adventure, it was a terror experience. While trying to put herself stable in the camper my wife broke her finger. The zostel people were so unprofessional that they didn't even provide any first aid. I would again request everyone not to book with these unprofessional. You will find many other good options nearby but don't book with them

Stayed here for a day and a night. This place is around 40 kms from Jaisalmer city and not easily accessible as it is in desert and away from the city. How to get there- either take a private taxi approx of rupees 1000 per ride or take a shared taxi approx of 400 to 500 rupees but won’t be end to end ride. Food - There is buffet food facility available here for all breakfast, lunch, snacks and dinner. Make sure it is ordered well in advance. The food was local and tasty. However there are other restaurants available if you opt to travel or own a vehicle. Stay - we stayed in a mud house and was uniquely beautiful with a local tradition touch. However if it rains and it did when we stayed, and the water dripped from the roof as it was hut based roof. There were alternates available provided there are not occupied. Network availability- a good network for Jio and Airtel Staff - Friendly and cooperative Desert activities - package will be shared and you can opt the ones required. Would highly recommend Desert safari and spend a sunset. A must attend a folk program in the evening with snacks! A few cons: - Wi-Fi is a clear NO,whereas it was mentioned clearly as available in the booking website, which should be fixed as travellers can opt for working from home - Noticed child labour, which should be stopped - Reception and dining was not well maintained and was dusty. Overall the experience was good but could be well improved!

When you travel solo for the very first time, you are obviously scared and confused. Now imagine someone making this entire experience smooth as butter. And not by spoon-feeding you to travel in a certain way, instead having the attitude of "Just give me a call whenever you feel stuck" I'm glad that my first such experience was absolutely amazing.... All the credit goes to Pradeep uncle ji and his fabulous team. Once you reach Jaisalmer, they have packages and facilities to transport you to sam dunes, plus even more like jeep safari, camel ride, trip to Kuldhara longewala, etc Zostel Sam Dunes is indeed a very good place to chill and have a different desert experience. Inspite of being so far away from the city, it is made sure that you get every thing over there. They literally focus on you having the best experience, that's it. Somesh, who manages the property is just a call away if you need anything. The best part is that Pradeep uncle ji personally looks into all kind of needs. To see this kind of hospitality makes you wanna keep going there again and again..... They live upto Rajasthan's "padharo maahre desh"🙈✨

Won’t recommend staying at Zostel Sam desert to anyone. We had the most horrible experience. This place doesn’t represent anything what Zostel is known for. The only positive was the zostelers we met during our stay.

We booked the mud house. Because of poor wiring of the geyser, we felt electric shock, when informed to the staff, they took 2 hours to sent and electrician and bluntly said that it won’t be repaired now and we have to manage with it.

We also booked safari package with the Zostel, which included pickup and drop from Jaisalmer to the Sam desert Zostel, desert safari, food, star gazing, evening show and snacks. Even this came out to be nightmare for us.

They sent a faulty thar which broke down in the middle of the desert. They took 1.5 hours to send another vehicle to take us back. The worst part is we had to make multiple calls to make this happen. They are not at all professional or serious about handling such situations with care.

We had to face similar experience for our star gazing activity. First of all, don’t believe on whatever time they mention for any activity. We were told that vehicle for star gazing would leave by 10:30 PM which eventually left at 12:15 AM. While coming back the vehicle ran out of fuel. We were in the middle of desert at 3:30 AM and had to work with manager for our rescue. Their staff was not even bothered to make any effort (This is the common pattern I observed, they are just unapologetically arrogant in their behaviour especially when they screw up).

Next day while coming back they gave us a vehicle with failed breaks. When we pointed out it took another 2 hours to arrange another vehicle. We informed them in advanced that we want to start by 9:30 AM so that we can explore Jaisalmer before our train at 3:30 PM. But because of this mishap we reached Jaisalmer city around 12. Even in this, they were unapologetic arrogant and we had to call multiple times to make it happen.

We have been to multiple Zostel and we proudly recommend Zostel to our friends and family. But this place is nowhere near to a Zostel like experience. Most importantly, the management doesn’t seem interested in acknowledging and...

My entire travel experience was seamlessly arranged by Zostel, starting with a convenient pickup outside the fort and a comfortable journey that concluded at the same spot. Upon arrival at the camp, they graciously welcomed us with a steaming hot beverage, a heartwarming gesture in the chilly winter.

The room exceeded expectations, boasting cleanliness and ample space for a truly comfortable stay. Venturing into the enchanting landscape on a camel safari, the sunset view was nothing short of mesmerizing. The night unfolded with a captivating folk performance, providing a glimpse into the rich tapestry of Rajasthani culture.

Culinary delights took center stage, featuring a delectable array of local delicacies, including the quintessential dal bati churma. The communal bonfire not only warmed the surroundings but also facilitated engaging conversations with interesting fellow travelers.

The desert jeep safari was an adrenaline-fueled adventure, offering thrills and excitement. Every aspect of the experience, from the cultural performances to the culinary journey and daring jeep safari, culminated in an extraordinary adventure.

A meeting with the owner revealed a truly inspiring story – a humble milkman turned hotelier. His journey adds a unique touch to the stay, making it more than just accommodation but a testament to resilience and success.

In conclusion, my stay here was nothing short of exceptional, and I wholeheartedly recommend it to fellow travelers seeking an immersive and...
