Rinchenpong Nest Homestay — Hotel in Sikkim

This is for the second time in the alternate years, that I have visited the romantic Rinchenpong...the attraction of Kanchenjunga,the ambience of which had inspired the great poet Rabindranath Tagore to compose his "Geetanjali".||In both my visits, Rinchenpong Nest was my most preferred home away from my home. The Manager is very caring and took good care of our trips in West Sikkim,who guided us well to plan our locations. The rooms are all good and especially the suites are extremely good with an awesome view of snow capped Kanchenjunga and the entire range. Even the dining area presented the same enchanting view of the valleys and mountain ranges. The most needed facilities like continuous supply of Hot water, Wi-Fi and power supply never let us down. We were able to keep our friends and family updated through our snaps and comments on Facebook with texting on Whatsapp-Thanks to the uninterrupted Wi-Fi connectivity. The food prepared was really good and they served us whatever stuff we wished to have. But the coffee needed to be a bit strong that suited with the weather. The hotel boys are all well mannered and helpful. The location of Nest is most pleasing as it is away from the main bazaar and the rush of the tourists are minimum. We had a short trek to the Rinchenpong Monastery, Poison Lake as it was raining and we could not go for a trip that day. The hotel Manager also arranged for a campfire outside, that excited all the boarders, but it was our ill luck that rain postponed it all! Overall, it was a real great memorable experience for me and my friends with our children in Rinchenpong and last but not the least, Thanks to the Hotel Manager Mr. Nilanjan Sahu for his great co-operation and hospitality. Rinchenpong Nest a budget hotel, that offers mesmerizing view of the Kanchenjunga. Situated 1 km away from the Rinchenpong Bazaar, it offers silence and a panoramic view of the valley below to remember. Just beside it a stone's throw away, there is a newly built monastery mostly important for its association with the Great poet of Bengal – Rabindranath Tagore, who stayed at this very place for some while. In remembrance a marble plaque has been anointed with some memorable verses from the great poet’s impressive work “Gitanjali”. It is also known as Rabindra Smriti Van.||||The hotel staff are very helpful and cooperative. Rooms are clean and hot water always available..Frequent power off during day time takes place but for short duration. Internet connectivity is very slow. Special note for Sandeep and Madamji,,their hospitality and taste of food is great. Especially Madamji's cooking of Egg Kasha. ||||A must visit to the forest past Rabindra Smriti Van to wander aimlessly where the vegetation is very lush and boasts some rare and exotic species of beautiful birds and butterfly thriving in abundance. All sightseeing are readily coordinated by Sandeep at reasonable prices....Overall, a very satisfactory experience at Rinchenpong Nest...Easily recommended for all (Friends...

First of all , the hotel owner is very shrewd man . If you want to pre book this hotel , he will say there is no room for 1 days ..you have to book at least 2 days!!..Well you will book room for 2 days ..But entering hotel you may not get desired room ..As we have booked 3 different rooms under the name of Saroj Kar ( our team leader )..The highest paid room meant for balcony ..But on reaching there on 23 rd May 2018 ..Hotel Owner provides me the room with the tiniest balcony of the world !!!!( But we booked room 6 month earlier Nov 25 '2017 thinking big balcony room will be given to us )..On being questioned the manager said the room with bigger balcony has been given to their preferable visitor ( he visited for 2 nd time there ..and he booked the room just on Fen 2018 ...So the owner dupes us ..We want to leave this poor hotel just the next day ..But the owner told us to pay for 2 days ...The rooms are very ordinary ..We found better hotel in Rinchenpong much lesser price ...Staffs of the hotel are so so ..I will not recommend this hotel to others ...If you wanna paid unnecessary price for this ordinary property , then you will go for it . Very bad ..Poor Service .. I would like to give minus rating if there were any chance . Avoid...
