Well to begin with I’d like to quote a Jewish proverb, “Don't open a shop unless you know how to smile.” Though the property is decent and located at a decent place but the behaviour of the owner and services provided are not at all befitting the kind expected in a hospitality business. Drinking water had fungus on its bottles and there is no roof top café as mentioned, roof top is only a normal household terrace with nothing of the sort of café over there. The hotel authorities force you to reveal information which you are not comfortable with. Icing on the cake is the owner’s behaviour if you like to be shouted upon and be thrown out of the hotel in the middle of the night you should definitely visit this place. As far as my experience goes it is as below:
Me and 2 of my colleagues checked in at the property on 19th Oct for our transit. During check in the receptionist asked us to mention some details on the register which we were not comfortable with and denied the same, subsequently we moved to our rooms. After 10 mins of checking in the hotel i got a call from owner and without telling me about the problem or her requirement she started shouting on me and threatened us to mention the details or pack our bags and move out of the property. Thereafter while we were roaming around the city i again got a call from the owner wherein she again started shouting and told us to vacate the rooms asap stating that we have written inappropriate review. After returning to the hotel we checked out and moved to other place in the middle of night.
And i have stayed in 5 star hotels as well as in normal OYOs but this was the worst experience of my life. Will never suggest or go back to this place.
Worst hospitality !! Worst...
Read moreI booked this hotel for 3 nights after reading reviews and this proved to be my biggest mistake. This hotel is the smallest hotel i have ever stayed in. Technically it's a homestay. The bedsheets were dirty. I asked them to replace it but they replaced it with even dirtier one. The bathroom had no soap, no comb, no dental or shaving kit, no shampoo, no bucket, infact it had nothing apart from yellow water. And there was some weird smell in bathroom. The drinking water had foul smell as well. The electric kettle was faulty, there was no ironing board, no safe to keep important stuff. Almirah was dirty and looked like a left over small cupboard. The location of the hotel is also not good as it is difficult to get autos from there which are way cheaper compared to booking a taxi in port blair. They pack breakfast for people leaving in early morning ferries but that is just a cold sandwich with sweet mayonnaise which no one in my family could eat. You cannot pay more than 2000 rupees for this hotel as it has nothing. There are far better hotels near airport so my advise is to book those hotels if you want an above...
