Celebrity Resort, Chennai — Hotel in Tamil Nadu

The resort area has a large, serene, and natural setting. It is situated in a far-off place.

Based on the site's ratings and photos, we reserved this place for our team-building activity. When we visited the resort, we discovered that the reviews were quite old. I have uploaded the pics, pls see the images of the facilities they offer. The pool is quite large, however the seats are damaged and the water is murky. We have not used the pool because of this.

The table tennis board is also shattered, and the carrom board coins are covered in fungus. Because there are trees all around the play area and we brought our own carrom board, we somehow used the materials that were provided and keep ourselves engaged.

Following a discussion, they offered a first-floor relaxation area, however a few of the air conditioning vent is not functioning.

Despite the limited variety, the food was nice, especially the veg options (Rasam tasted great). Biriyani was alright. There isn't a separate dining area. In the open area (Play area), they served the food.

We left the properly once our lunch is over.

If everything is improved, it would be a great spot for family vacations and celebrations as well. However, given the current state of upkeep, it is not worth the money.

The resort area is vast but it is not maintained properly. The rooms are maintained just enough so you can stay there with no issues. You can go there for a team outing or partying with friends and don't stay there for over a night. If you like to get drunk and act like hooligans then this is probably the best place because no one will bother you at night except for some ghosts. Yeah ghosts. This place is so big that there are parts of it that are just guarded by big dogs who bark at things you cannot see at night. They turn off the lights at night so it adds to the spookiness factor and... It. Is. Awesome! You can murder someone on a new moon night by about 9 PM, hide the body, check out, escape to a different state and fly away to Dubai by morning flight because the sun rays will penetrate the resort only at 8 in the morning. THIS IS A JOKE. Don't hold it against me but yeah that's what the place looks like at night. The food is good and you will find a board in the reception that outside food is not allowed but the reception itself looks it was inspired from the Addams family and no one will stop you. Swiggy and Zomato reach is limited so plan accordingly.

TL;DR - Go party with a bunch of friends and a bunch of ghosts. Don't stay for more than a night. Can easily park 15 SUVs. Great chicken lollipop arrives 1 hour after ordering....

5 persons we booked 2 rooms for 10th August 24 and we got the confirmation from resort for the payment and reservation. We travelled all the way to the resort about 50 kms in two cars to reach the resort, also we verified in the morning before we leave the place for confirmation.

But once we reach the place the reception and the manager incharge mentioned all the rooms are booked. When we try to connect with the office they are telling some issue in the hotel which is not correct. They gave the rooms for better price to someone.

Never book this resort or suggest to anyone in your life.
