chettinadmanor — Hotel in Tamil Nadu

We had a wonderful time at Chettinad Manor. We stayed for 3 days during the last week of August 2023. The property – located in the village Nemathanpatti - is easily accessible, being on the Highway connecting Trichy & Rameswaram. Well maintained rooms, further additions are going on. The interiors are beautifully done, in the authentic Chettinad Architecture The stay is worth every penny paid for and moreover, the rent is very economical. They serve freshly prepared, authentic Tamil Nadu Cuisine, Tasty and healthy food. Owner Sri. Murugappan is an excellent host, looking after his guests very well. All facilities like Bank, ATM, Post Office, Medical shop etc. is very nearby. For our local visits, Sri. Murugappan had arranged a 3 wheeler, owned by Sri. Kutty. Sri. Kutty was our driver cum guide for all the 3 days. He took us to all the places around Nemathanpatti – Kanadukathan, Pillaiarpatti, Kundrakudi, Vairavanpatti, Karaikudi, Thirumayam Fort etc. etc. Overall, we had a very satisfying stay at...

I'm delighted to submit a review on my stay. Fortunately, after many searching, we finally located this hotel that met both our budget and our requirements for being a fun location to stay. The location of Chettinad Manor is ideal for our search. Since the establishment is new, we were first hesitant, but the owner gave us a thorough tour and was very kind.

Speaking of the hotel's appearance, we had the impression that we were staying in a typical Chettinad palace. The location was amazing, and the staff's warmth was truly heartwarming. Homestyle food was served, and we had the impression that we were visiting a relative's place. Their attention to detail and kind hospitality were greatly appreciated. We wish to continue to be a regular customer and will schedule a mid-stay visit here before any lengthy travels. Our visit was delightful. One of the worst hotels to be in. The reviews look like fake reviews. Kindly avoid this hotel. It is still undergoing renovation. A basic facility like a towel is not provided. When asked we were told that all towels have been sent for washing hence we do not have. In many of the rooms the geyser was not working. Lots of insects in the bathroom. A basic mirror was missing. If present, it was like a small square one which we use for make up. No room service and no phone in the room if you want to call for any kind of help or service. The guests are treated like students in a hostel. There is a minder who says not to talk in the corridor . If asked to switch on the light to read a newspaper in the morning the minder says that the sun has risen so you should not be needing light. There is no food service at all. You may be lucky if coffee is served. Very badly planned bathrooms. Overall a pathetic...
