Read moreCotsvilla is right in foothills of Anamalai in Sethumadai village. So, as you enter the resort you will have 180 degree view of the Anamalai range, which make it picturesque and attractive. Resort lies on the left-hand side of the forest gate. Best time to visit would be during the winters.||Good part of the resort… ||• Valparia is 55 km from resort (If you follow Google Map), lesser if you follow the route suggested by the resort manager. There are loads of sightseeing points on the way. If you are interested in wildlife then on your way up the Ghats or coming down, you may spot Nilgiri Tahr & the endangered Lion Tailed Macaque.||• Cotsvilla offers night safari on the forest road side, where you can spot Deer’s, Samba, Wild Gaur & Elephants. Resort Manager will send a local person to accompany you in your vehicle to show route and help you act in case you encounter a wild elephant. ||• If you go in season when there is clear sky’s then this best place to star gaze. During clear sky night, you can see millions of stars on the back drop of the Anamalai range. It really a great sight to watch.||• If you are not travel person type, then this place is a good place to lazy around reading book or sleeping.||• Cotvilla has 2 sections with a road going in middle, one of section has Wifi and you get mobile data & on the other side you get mobile data in some sections of property.||||Now for the Bad Part…||• Cotsvilla has got an excellent website & you can use the site to view the types of rooms available and book. What you don’t know is you can’t cancel the booking, hence your booking amount will be never paid back to you. Best way out of it to change your booking to later date by calling the front desk. ||• Please discount 50% of activities listed on the website.||• Cottage listed on the website such has Shilton, Avon, Aston & Hayward, have weird rooms structed for instance some have bathroom with an open top, right between 2 sections. I leave it to people imaginations. Some rooms have bathroom which is open to sky, which sounds good in the 1st instance, but must know that you have forest next your room 😊. Worst of all is many of rooms were made using local masonry hence the walls are not properly covered, which results in outside light & insect coming into your room from those gaps. Please don’t be alarmed if you see a gecko or some other night crawlers coming into your room, they have people staying nearby who will come to help you 😊.||• Resort doesn’t have intercom facility, hence you have walk towards to kitchen or the staff quarters for any/every request.||• Food is prepared by the people who work in farm hence it’s as basic as it can get. If you are frequent traveler and have been many other resorts then have a lowest expectation so that you can enjoy the food.|| My recommendation, it’s good for one time visit and especially because of the location. It’s beautiful and serene, which make you forget the other issues around. Staff is very good and try their best to provide their best with the available resources. ||Route: Bangalore Hosur Salem Coimbatore Highway Avinashi Tirupur Pollachi Meenkarai RD Ambarampalayam -...

Read moreI'm already missing this place. It so beautiful with at least 90% of greenery with amazing view of the forest. Especially my mom who really enjoyed this place as it was really nice to walk around the property and explore. very few resorts have this luxury. Special thanks to the working staffs, they are a real gem. They are such well trained and make the guests feel so special. Hats off to the manager RAM for grooming them. Majority of them are from nearby local villages and feel really proud of my state. The staff are also excellent and make the guests so welcoming. The senior naturalist or guide Kadhir was amazing, enjoyed the morning walk around the property fence where we spotted an elephant and a wild boar. As per his instructions, we took a drive to the dam near parambikulam and we spotted lots of wildlife. It has been the best drive from long time, good roads and dense forest around. Don't even miss this drive when you are at the property. A return trip takes only 2 hours – I’m sure you will spot more wildlife than safari, 3.30pm is ideal time to start.||||The room are though not luxurious but thoroughly planed to lost in the nature and wildlife.......No TV, less Mobile connectivity and no artificial flavour in the resort functioning will definitely fell in love with this place sacredly.||||When we left the resort the final day, the cook packed so much lunch for us, that it lasted us till the day after. I am writing this as I am munching a meat fry that he packed...
