GG Resorts — Hotel in Tamil Nadu

"The best resort i have came across". Excellent service. We stayed with the family for 3 days. January 29 to 31. GG resort is quite decent and private place too. Resort was well maintained. And the people who is preferring for calmness, privacy and Cleanliness without option they can prefer for GG resort. When we plan for Pondicherry My sister suggested only for GG resort and this is our first trip to pondy. We feel like it is our resort there is no restriction in the resort. We can feel like we are staying in our home. Kids loved the swimming pool and it is very safety and private too. Swimming pool is very clean and well maintained. Rooms are very clean and and i just loved to stay in the room. Feels like we are staying in our home. All facilities are there in room like, AC, Fridge, TV etc., Restrooms are well maintained and we have Towels, Hair dryer, Toiletries, Mirror. Outside of the room we will be having the private area with seating set. Coming to the peoples in Resort: Staff's: @ Vasanth- He is the manager of the resort. Such a friendly person and very humble. He will take care of each and every thing, even it is small request. He made sure our stay was super comfortable and helped us out with navigating the places. Even he will take care of the children and he will play with the Childs. We don't want to bother about the children if they play outside of the room. @ Vimal,Suresh- They are the room service. They are very humble and down to earth. What ever we are asking they will bring it up for many times. Even it is not available in resort they will go outside and get it for us. Food: Wow!! Food is very delicious!! Feels like a home food. Food will be very hygiene. They will prepare the food according to our menu. Morning breakfast is complimentary. Breakfast is also too good.

Disappointing Visit to GG Resort

Hey guys, This was my second visit to GG Resort, and we were excited to return after our positive experience the first time. However, this time around, we were quite disappointed with certain aspects of our stay. We booked two rooms as we were two families, each with a baby. The resort itself was clean and met our expectations, and we particularly enjoyed the private swimming pool, where we spent a significant amount of time.

However, the biggest letdown during our stay was the food and service provided by the resort. Both the chef and the manager seemed to be new, which likely contributed to the issues we encountered. Our morning complimentary breakfast was extremely disappointing. We were shocked to find a vegetable worm inside the curry that was served with poori. It was evident that the complementary food was not prepared fresh. Unlike other resorts that offer buffet-style dining, GG Resort brings the food in bunches to serve, and any leftover food is taken back separately. This raises concerns about the possibility of the leftover food being served again to other guests.

Another unfortunate experience we had was regarding the bill settlement during our check-out. The manager made a mistake with the bill, and instead of providing a proper explanation, they reached out to us multiple times via calls and text messages, which was quite inconvenient and unprofessional.

Overall, our second visit to GG Resort was far from pleasant. While the cleanliness and the private swimming pool were positive aspects, the poor quality of the complementary food and service, as well as the issue with the bill settlement, overshadowed our stay. We hope that the resort takes our feedback constructively and works towards improving these areas to provide a better experience for future guests. Hope...

Had a great time here. Visited a month ago with 1 year old kid. All our requests were accepted, acknowledged and provided. Great thanks to the staff.

Pros: Extremely accommodating staff. Always ready to help with almost any genuine need. Good food. The breakfast spread is not huge but really tasty. Though its included in the bill they did not compromise the quality. Had given the food to our kid. Had no issues. Accepting special requests for babies. We knew they will provide rice but did not know they would give it how we wanted it for our baby. Squashed, a bit liquid(y), just like how we feed the babies. Perfect. We asked them to make dal for our baby. Without spice and less salty than usual. Perfectly cooked for us by them. Location. Quite near to all the good eating places in auroville. Almost all the famous eateries are like 10 mins car drive away.

Points to be improved: Kids play area. Can put some more kids play items. There was only 1 slide to play with for the kids. We will definitely appreciate some more play items. Directions. Google maps shows the route quite well. But it could be better if there are some sign boards placed after the maritime institute. Quite easy to get lost in the dark. Lights may not be necessary but some reflective sign boards for people coming with cars or bikes.
