Glen View Jungle Resort — Hotel in Tamil Nadu

Wanted to give a comprehensive lengthy review of the resort and the location that will help all of the travellers.||||WE travelled to this resort in mid to third week of July during the middle of the week. The resort was in the middle of thick forest and its a paradise for nature lovers. WE stayed in the Treehouse. This was one of the biggest treehouse that can accomodate many people than one could imagine.||||The resort staff were very friendly and helpful. The resort includes food as a part of the price as well. Since the time i went was middle of the week and there were no other occupants, Buffet was not available. But however the staff accomodated each and every dish that we ordered for Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner. The staff were so friendly and courteous and always enthusiastic & willing to stretch themselves to make the customers happy and their stay pleasant. The food was of extremely high quality and there was not a single dish or meal that we could complain about. ||||The treehouse was also very clean, well maintained and extremely nice to stay. During the night, one could hear the sounds of the wild animals from the forest (A scintillating experience). The resort, despite being in the middle of the forest is very safe place and all barbed wires are in place for elephants and wild animals to not enter the resort.||||To top it off, we were very lucky to have the owner of the resort (Name withheld for privacy purposes) visit the resort during the time of our stay. He is a wonderful person to meet and was very friendly and helpful during our stay. He took us for trekking and sight seeing multiple times during our stay there and shared many wonderful stories and experiences of his encounter with the animals. He took extreme pleasure in ensuring that we get a wonderful experience in wild animals encounters and took us to many places that only locals would know and not a very touristy location. While I do not want to put this as a normal expectation from the owner (LOL), we really loved the company of him during our stay and he really made our stay extra special.||||This resort is a delight for wild...

Pathetic place to stay, v poor infrastructure. I had been here for a weekend relaxing trip and it had become a nightmare for me. I know how I have spent 2 days here. There is no power backup. The mosquito repellent does not work. The whole nine there was no electricity. This place is absolutely no no for kids. I am attaching the real pics where everything is broken or not working. This is not worth any penny you spend. The staff does not understand any language other than Tamil and only person who understands English is the so called manager. When I booked this resort it was expensive than Club Mahindra and it is no good than a home stay. The rooms were not cleaned up when we came back from the day long trip. When I told the manager he came up with silly excuses. And when I called up a number which was of a reservation executive in Bangalore she told me that the manager is the only person there and the owner Mohan stays in Coimbatore and he can understand little English. If one has come for a holiday and follows up for every little thing then what is the point spending so...

We made a trip from Bangalore. Arranged with the resort to pick us from Mysore railway station. Promptly the vehicle came and we reached the property without any problem. The property is at a jungle away from the village. So if going by own vehicle after reaching bokkapuram get the assistance from the resort since only a jeep can take you from a point. ||||The rooms are rudimentary and requires lot of maintenance. We stayed in one tree house and one myd hut. ||||The food was the highest factor here. Very delicious and customised to your needs. ||||They arrange a jeep safari at 5.30 pm. I suggested to them to advance this as it was already dark in the middle of safari.
