A Hidden Gem in the Hills – My Best Resort Stay Yet!
As someone who loves exploring new destinations and unique resorts, I can confidently say that Hide Hill Crest Resort has been my most memorable and fulfilling stay to date.
Location & Ambience: Tucked away amidst lush green hills and surrounded by serene tea plantations, this resort offers an unbeatable location just 11 km from the city center. The journey to the resort itself is refreshing, taking you away from the hustle and bustle and into a tranquil, picturesque paradise. The calmness of the surroundings, fresh air, and stunning views make it an ideal retreat for nature lovers and peace seekers.
Stay & Comfort: The property is beautifully maintained, blending comfort with nature. The rooms are cozy and clean, offering beautiful views of the hills and plantations. Waking up to the chirping birds and misty mornings was a blissful experience. Every corner of the resort reflects simplicity and warmth.
Food – Just Like Home: One of the standout aspects of my stay was the homely food served here. Delicious, hygienic, and comforting – all at a very reasonable cost. It’s not often that you find resort food that feels like it’s been cooked with love, and here it truly does.
Hospitality – Above and Beyond: Now, the heart of this resort is undoubtedly Karnan Sir. A man of simplicity and deep warmth, he made this stay unforgettable. From the moment I arrived, his care, affection, and down-to-earth nature made me feel right at home. It’s rare to come across a host who genuinely cares about your comfort and experience. I initially planned for a 2-night stay but extended it to 3 nights purely because of his hospitality. Spending time with him, listening to his stories, and just being around someone so genuine added a personal touch to the entire trip.
Final Thoughts: Hide Hill Crest Resort has now become very close to my heart. It’s not just a resort, it’s an experience – of peace, nature, warmth, and heartfelt hospitality. Whether you’re looking for a quiet getaway, a scenic retreat, or just a place to relax and recharge, this is the place to be. I’m already looking forward to my next visit, and I’m sure there will be many more to come.

Read moreGreat Location, terrible stay. For what they charge they don't even have the most basic things, here's a non-exhaustive list of things that made the overall experience quite bad: No Security! There is no lock for the main door. The balcony is shared with another room without any divider, the full length window has no latch so anyone can walk in through the balcony if they wish. There is no cutlery! We ordered dal and roti, we just got one large serving bowl and plates to eat out of, they have no spoons, forks or bowls. The caretaker is extremely intrusive, he knocked once and barged in without waiting for us to open the door. He also talks gives information other guests without us enquiring. They did not clean the room even once while we were there(3days) They had not refilled the handwash before we came and we ran out on our last day but by that time we had heard no for everything we requested so we didn't bother asking for them to refill. The food we ordered for dinner was quite terrible, same breakfast everyday idli and dosa. No cutlery in the dining area either. We were told they just don't have any. The room is extremely uncomfortable, you can't really rest against the headboard to sit on the bed, and the only chairs are the balcony ones so no comfortable seating if you decide to hang out at the stay. No extra blankets provided...
Read moreThe scenery are good full of tea garden. Service was good. As we had paid the advance the owner started asking for remaining money very often which was very much annoying. The geysers took almost 30 mins to get a bucket full of hot water. The initial stage when we were booking there behavior was good but after paying full settlement there behavior turned worst. There were no complimentary breakfast and the prices for the food was very expensive and not worthy. The network connection was extremely down and even sometimes it gets disconnected. There were no ironbox, hair dryer and even many basic amenities were missing. The locks in the rooms was not locking properly and there were no locks for balcony so there is no privacy. There was a campfire which was not turned on and the kitchen was quite small which can make small dishes. If you had booked the room for 3 days and you wants to vacated in 2 days for emergency they were using the emergency situation and that the rule was you have to pay the 3 days amount which was very much annoying.Main thing was THERE IS NO PROPER RECEIPT FOR THE PAYMENT.The only positive thing is scenery and a cat seen here during the mornings walking. Rest of the things here are totally waste of money. If you want a peaceful vacation...
