We recently had the pleasure of staying at Hornbill Castle - Bed and Breakfast, and I must say it was an exceptional experience. From the moment I arrived, I felt welcomed and at ease. The accommodations were comfortable, clean, and provided a perfect retreat after a busy day.

Every meal felt like a warm, home-cooked delight, with flavors that reminded me of the best homemade meals. The variety and quality of the dishes were impressive, catering to different tastes and preferences. The taste of a desert that they served were mouth watering. The hotel staff went above and beyond to arrange a fantastic birthday party for my daughter, creating an unforgettable surprise that brought so much joy to her special day.

We had a comfortable stay at this property. The rooms were spacious, clean, and well-maintained, and the toilets were hygienic. The staff and the owner were courteous and cooperative throughout our stay. Although room service was not available, the overall hospitality was satisfactory.

The complimentary breakfast was average, with a limited selection of items. Parking space is available for approximately three cars and a few bikes; however, the staff made commendable efforts to arrange space for six cars and multiple bikes, which was greatly appreciated. The owner was also very helpful in providing detailed information about nearby places to visit.

The only notable drawback was the absence of a power backup facility. During our stay, there was no electricity at night and the following morning, which was somewhat inconvenient, especially considering the room rent of ₹3,000 per night. We stayed at this amazing home stay for 3 nights and throughly enjoyed the stay! Valparai is a very scenic and beautiful place, but doesn’t have many tourist spots, hence selection of the home stay is very important. Mr Joshua has maintained the place impeccably and the rooms are very neat and clean. The rooms were very well maintained and had all facilities like hot water (very important in Valparai climate), a TV and Wi-Fi.
