Very poor experience. I had the same experience as others have posted. I booked the rooms thru OYO app and when I went there they demanded more money. The person at reception named 'Karthik' he was so arrogant and irresponsive. It took almost 2 hours to reach OYO person and get things sorted out. OYO customer service was horrible. About the lodge: highly unclean, bed was dirty, AC didn't work, OYO executive said this lodge has car parking, but in reality we have to park only at the road. Very poor hospitality by the hotel management. Toilets are very dirty. Never go for this lodge, unless you may want to screw yourself. I had very very worst experience. I have not other words to say. I am not sure why OYO app is entertaining these kind of lodges that lack proper sanitation and cleanness. This kind of hotels affect OYO's reputation. Firstly, I am not sure why OYO is listing this freud property, despite so many complaints from people who got cheated. Never rely on OYO or any other portal & do any advance payments, if done any, its gone in air, OYO or no other portal will address your concern. Think many times before considering to opt for this so called "Flagship Tambaram" OYO residency, which in real will have name as "Jayam Residency" given the kind of owner, service staffs & the pathetic location entrance. Never ever think to plan a stay with family here, since the owner talks like a local "goon/rowdy" with couple of so callled "pullingo" boys, who too will be rude. They will upfront demand the money which you may have booked via OYO or other portal & your justification showing OYO payment receipts, etc won't be entertained by them. Read moreI booked a room using OYO app for me and went there, The person at the reception told they can't give room for single person. He asked only 2 bed room available and it needs double the booking amount. I asked them why they list their property in oyo with a price at which they can't give ot and he was giving excuses as if he don't know OYO lists the property and anything about how they does it.
I contacted OYO customer care and they tried reaching out to the facility manager and he did not pick the call, even he denied to take my phone when I tried to hand over the phone with the OYO customer care person on the line.
Finally all that the OYO care person could do was to cancel my booking and apologize and suggesting me to look for any other hotel options. OYO seems to have no control here
