Kodai Elliott — Hotel in Tamil Nadu

We visited with my family 6. My father-in-law just happened to visit the place as it was just opposite our stay and looked like some new place that was set up. (it was not yet fully functional then).

When he told me that it looks like a wonderful place, my wife and I decided to visit. That was it. We met Senthil Kumar (the owner of this place) and requested him if we could see the entire property and a room tour if possible. He was actually closing down as it was late in the evening, however, he readily agreed to give us a property tour and answer our basic questions.

Remember the property wasn't still open - yet he was going to such a length already. That speaks volumes about the person and character. He also took us to the restaurant which was two levels down and the outside view from there that evening was one to die for. Felt like we were up in the sky looking at glittering stars away, as entire Kodai town was visible from there - multi-colored and star lit!

Since we were in the restaurant, we just casually asked him if it was open - and that is where we put Senthil in fix, instantly. He, without wasting a second said - tell me what would you like to have, I will host you tomorrow for Dinner at this place.

We were so taken aback for a moment that we felt, we shouldn't have asked. But Senthil convinced us that we shouldn't feel burdened. The next evening he prepared a wholesome dinner for all of us, but we couldn't sit in the restaurant as my mother couldn't take the stairs down, given her medical condition.

So he packed it all in big casseroles and sent it to us (huge quantities) with his helper, to the place we were staying - the food was simple, flavorful and lip-smacking. When we enquired about the charges - he, once again, won us over! It was complimentary. We were speechless.

The next day, while checking out from our property opposite to his, we went to bid him a good bye, but he wasn't around. We left the message with his property manager, who assured us that he will pass on our wishes to him.

Senthil, that day you made the entire family your fan. In awe of the good-natured human being you are! If you are ever in Bangalore, you have my number - just buzz, we shall meet.

Perfect visit for families and couples. I planned for a 4-day trip here.

The architecture works very well, and the dining area is so gorgeous. Overall the whole property is very neat and clean.

Food – They cooked then and there based on the order; everything is fresh and good… very yummy sambar veg meals and top chicken gravy at dinner time.
