LA MONTANA BY TGI — Hotel in Tamil Nadu

I recently had the unfortunate experience of staying at HotelLa Montana by TGI Hotel in Ooty, and I must say that it was one of the worst hotel experiences I have ever had. I feel compelled to share my experience to prevent others from going through the same ordeal.

Firstly, the facilities depicted in the pictures were in a deplorable state. The carrom board was broken, the snooker balls were shattered, and the board was torn. It was evident that the hotel management did not bother to maintain these basic amenities. Such negligence is unacceptable, and it reflects poorly on the overall quality of the hotel.

Moreover, the exorbitant room rent charges were not justified by any means. The high prices did not align with the quality of service and facilities provided. It was disheartening to witness such a discrepancy between the cost and the value received.

As pure vegetarians, my companions and I were appalled by the quality of the food. We ordered Gobi Manchurian dry, only to discover that it had been prepared in chicken fried oil. When we approached the staff regarding this serious lapse, their response was simply "sorry." This level of indifference towards dietary preferences is completely unacceptable and raises serious concerns about the hotel's standards of hygiene and professionalism. I believe such negligence warrants legal action.

To add to the list of disappointments, the hotel failed to provide parking space for the guests who had booked rooms. The parking area was occupied by local yellow board taxi drivers, leaving us without a place to park our vehicle. This lack of consideration for paying guests is unforgivable and showcases the hotel's disregard for customer satisfaction.

Aside from the view, which was the only redeeming factor, there was absolutely nothing positive about our stay at HotelLa Montana. The broken facilities, high room rent charges, abysmal food quality, and the absence of parking space for guests all contributed to an overall disastrous experience. I strongly advise against choosing this hotel and suggest exploring other options in Ooty.

It is my hope that this review will serve as a cautionary tale for future travellers and prompt the hotel management to address their shortcomings and improve their services...

Really poor Hotel, I paid 22000 for 3 nights that sums upto 7500 per day. However the kind of room and service I get, I would not have paid even 2000 also. This hotel badly needs renovation, more staff , a better ambience. The rooms, that too I have booked an executive one (best room in the hotel) is in really in pathetic condition. There is only a doomed light, seepage everywhere, tv is not working most of the times, wifi is not working inside the room. There is no light in the room Service: hotel staffs are well mannered, however the hotel is poorly understaffed. Any room service u ask takes forever to be done. The room Cleaning is also not done unless u ask for it couple of times.The hot water is also not regular in the washroom. Food: Breakfast is good, however the restaurant needs renovation. The food menu is limited and few of the food item only tastes good. However, I will never recommend this hotel to anyone I know. I strongly feel, the hotel owner that TGI shall pay some attention to the condition of the hotel, the kind of service provided rather than just focusing on making money. Being a frequent traveller, this hotel is my worst experience in hotels in Tamilnadu so far. A person like me coming from a different state might get lost by seeing the photos shown in the hotel booking site. However I will be cautious now onwards. The only good part is staffs are...

We wanted to get a relaxing, calm, and "get out of the world" vacation. This place helped us with our requirements. It was an amazing stay.

The hotel, to start with, is not closer to any major activity. So there would not be any distraction or traffic jam near your location. It's also within the city and more towards the residential area. So you are not cut off from the world.

The amazing panaromic views this place provides are just awe-inspiring 😍. You can stay there and keep looking at nature 🌄 to really understand what it's about.

Very clean, neat, green, and open place this hotel has. The step-like construction of all the individual suites on the hill is exceptional engineering👍🏻. We stayed on the top row, row 1, and you can see the undisturbed views we had of everything we can see.

We'll see a beautiful sunrise 🌅 and great views at the time of sunset 🌇 ✨️. We can't ask for a better picture for you to be part of.

Both our kids enjoyed the place a lot, and so did we. We had great experience with food and all other essentials availability. The breakfast buffet spread was good and not too huge for you to enjoy. We went for the dinner buffet for one night and had a-la-carte food brought into our room all other nights.

There is very courteous staff and Amudha's team were very helpful. They were available all night and all morning.
