I don't give review but to be honest as here all are giving some review excellent but the reality is The stay at the marudham village. I made a mistake of staying , i could have had the The day trippers package which is 2065/ adult and child is 1035/- and if you stay at rooms are double occupancy 6999/- and week end it's 7839. And children extra. You get all in day trip from morning to evening ... Including lunch high tea and activities .. , where else When you stay u have to pay for every thing starting from water bottle which is .500 ml for per person one day . and rest are chargeable, do u think water will be sufficient ., u end up buying water . there are no nearby shops or any so u will have to eat in their place . coffee is 70rs and idli is 130 /- i was billed around 6.2 k for meals for 2 days and room around 17k.. we were 3 adults .,when i could have ended with 6.5 k with day trip from morning 10 to evening 5. you get all , So it's double the cost when u stay. 2 . There is no buffet what ever the day it is . So pay and eat ..and food are costly not on the safer side will burn a hole ... The stay for 2 days was occupied fully by corporate day tripper ., so they are on the safer side they enjoy alll only by paying 2k when we pay 3x more to enjoy the activities . Parking is at owners risk although its inside premises. i have never seen any resorts put this board up that too inside your premises They try to keep dogs not running into their property but you will see dogs running here and there.. In room you have to close door soon if not flies will come in and you have to chase it all around . Their breakfast is small , and their restaurant is very small consist of 5 tables., for around 30 rooms. which is not acceptable. you can see all congested and with flies u will feel perplexed 8 . What ever the green sceneries all are consist of cows, goat ,hen etc , you will be welcomed by flies all over in your room , dining room they will be on ur plate ... Face and tumbler, food where ever u be they will company you. . U have to be on shoo ing . This hygiene is not acceptable . YOU GO TO THEIR RESTAURANT U WILL SEE ALL FLIES ON THE TUMBLER AND , WILL WE POUR WATER TO DRINK ., WHEN THE PLATE OF BIRIYANI YOU ORDER COMES YOU HAVE TO BE CAREFUL CAUSE FLIES WILL BE TRYING TO EAT BEFORE YOU SO YOU SHOULD KEEP ON WAVING HANDS . when i asked They say we have cows all and so we are on their place as a village scenerio ... ok accepted .. but when eating we cant keep on chasing flies to sit on our food face mouth all.., we all have learnt of flies carrying all germs . so think and do people . if the management reads this please take action of keeping the premises clean and upgrade MY advice to the people and friends is take the day trip package and enjoy all activities with inclusive of lunch and tea and go home at evening save money , there is nothing more than of staying . u can use that money on some other...
Read moreHi all, this is my review for Marutham village resort after visiting the resort as a family on August 31st 2021. Since we went as a family we booked a 3 bedroom cottage. Its a beautiful villa type setup where the 3 rooms are within the same villa. Excellent rooms and bathrooms. The old vintage feel that this house gives will take us back to our ancestors days and their way of living. Since this is very new property, every nook and corner was clean and fresh!
ACTIVITIES: All the people come to this resort for two main things. PumpSet bath 2.Temple pond style swimming pool Small water falls(manmade)
Trust me, all these activities are so engaging if you visiting as a family. The pumpset bathing is so refreshing and it will rejevunate us. The pool is more than enough in size and depth. The most attractive thing is each family gets their own private time of 1 hour each to enjoy these activities. So a family can enjoy swimming with privacy.
FOOD: They have excellent service and a vast menu. We can have food at both restaurant as well as in the outdoor seating. They will arrange exclusive chairs and rope sofas outside our homes to have our dinner.
DRAWBACK IN FOOD: No south indian foods like "Idly, Dosai" available for dinner. We got to eat bit heavy foods like paratha, phulka, rotis and the accompaniant gravies. The serving persons are so friendly and they do the best service. However, they are rushing us to place orders by evening itself to prepare the dinner. This will happen only at home stays. I am not sure why at a resort they follow this protocol. Also they often scare the guests by saying, "Sorry, the kitchen is going to be closed" Order soon..soon!. This is a very bad behaviour. The management needs to take care of such small hospitality issues. Because when every other aspects are top notch, these little things will affectsl the guests.
4.CATTLE FARM VISIT: Early morning visit to the grand cattle farm visit. We can feed the gigantic bulls and interact with them. Kids will love this.
5.VILLAGE WALK: Beautiful village walk for 45 minutes along the paddy fields and it will take us to a big lake. Also a walk amidst the dense forest like pathway will sure give a breath of fresh air within us!
CONCLUSION: While checking out, the management doe not bother about asking feedback from the guests. It is the most important thing that they should do. They just give the bill and we pay and exit. A new brilliant resort needs continual feedback gatherings to improve the negative things.
Overall I reduced the 1 star because of the little mishaps in hospitality while having food. Otherwise, its a great place to...

The 3 of us (my wife, daughter and myself) went to Marutham Village for a short break and stayed there for 2 nights and 3 days. If I would like to summarise the stay, it was one of the most relaxing experience as well as you get to see the best in class care from the folks here.
There is a huge space to explore, some of the best being their walk in the "varappu", the nature trail near the pond, the bath in "Pump Set" were fascinating. The whole setup looks like a nice and cozy village street. The pool setup looks like a temple tank with an adjacent mini waterfall. The rooms were big and well maintained. They also have their own animal farm, with over 20 cows if I'm not wrong, a few goats, and chicken. You are allowed inside the same and pet and feed the animals. Seeing the calfs play around was real fun.
On arrival, they were very courteous. No nonsense checkin, with our rooms kept ready far ahead of our arrival, well cleaned and sanitised. Our luggage were also sanitised separately as well as our cars. Every one was wearing a mask properly at all times. We really felt safe, considering we were travelling with a 6yr old.
The best part was we had lots of space. Coming from a city with restricted space and no way to play, my daughter had a blast. She was able to finally ride her skate scooter in a nice big space. The swimming pool was clean, and well maintained. We had a blast of a time in the same as well. One thing we noticed was the staff kept cleaning things. Smaller details such as big swing under the tree, the "kayathu kattil" under the shade, a nice Gazebo with chairs were all good relaxing spots, where you can sit at peace and relax listening to the sounds of the birds and insects.
They grow a lot of their food. Rice is always from their organic farms and some of the veggies and spiced that they use are also from their gardens. The milk is cow milk from their farm as well. These along with their wonderful chefs, ensured that the food tasted amazing. The breakfast had great spread with typical bread, cereal options and then followed by vadai, idli, dosai, poori, puttu, sambar, 2 types of chutneys, kadakai kari for the puttu, masala for poori, fruits and fresh juice. Lunch was ala-carte and it tasted well. The quantity was also plenty.
The staff are a beautiful bunch of people who put the care for their guests as their top priority. We found a lot of love from them and their care for their guests was genuine.
Overall it was an amazing experience. We'll go back again for sure with a...
