This is our 4th visit to Mystique Ville and we can't think of any other place to stay at other than this one! Tucked away from the noisy city, this a place for the nature lovers. With beautiful flower gardens, well maintained lawn, huge tea estate, and cute little sparrows, there's enough forest and greenery here. Whenever we go into the city for sightseeing, we can't wait to get back to this serene and peaceful place and relax!
You have two kinds of rooms- Heritage (Rs.3,500) and Vintage (Rs.4,500). There are a total of 11 cottages. The Vintage rooms have a view of the valley. There's wooden furniture inside the room and very vintage looking! There's a lovely glasshouse overlooking the valley and we usually spend a couple of hours in the night listening to music switching off all the lights and looking at vehicles ascending and descending the hairpin bends :-)
The staff are extremely hospitable. Naresh ji, the waiter is very mindful and we know he takes extra care when we are there. Mr Shyam and the elderly gentleman Mr Ramdas are also very friendly. Ask for Mr Bala who can arrange for simple treks and safaris and lunch/dinner in the jungle! The only persistent complaint we have is with the plumbing - hot water is not 24 hrs and during the day, if you have full occupancy, you do not get steaming hot water. It's luke warm and you have to wait for 15-20 mins for it to hear up and in winters you'd like to have a hot bath and not wait. They have solar panels and rooms do not have geazers.
The food is excellent and vegetarians have great options here! Breakfast is buffet style usually two south Indian dishes like idly, vada/dosa/upma/pongal/puri saagu, two varieties of chutneys, sambar are served. You also get bread toast with jam and butter, omelets and tea and coffee. Two varieties of fruits are also served.
The best time to visit this place is during the second half of December when the temperatures dip! Carry enough warm clothes when you're visiting in December. Gloves, muffler, skull cap, and layered clothing is recommended especially if you are coming from a...
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of staying at this charming villa in Ooty, and it was nothing short of a magical experience. From the moment we arrived, the lush green surroundings and the cool mountain air set the tone for a serene retreat.
The villa itself was a perfect blend of modern comfort and rustic charm. The spacious rooms were tastefully decorated with a touch of local aesthetics, providing a cozy and welcoming atmosphere. The large windows offered breathtaking views of the Nilgiri hills, allowing us to wake up to the beauty of nature every morning.
The amenities provided were top-notch. The fully-equipped kitchen allowed us to whip up our own meals, adding a personal touch to our stay. The well-maintained garden was a delightful spot to enjoy a cup of tea, surrounded by blooming flowers and the melodious sounds of birds.
One of the highlights of our stay was the attentive and friendly staff. They went above and beyond to ensure our comfort, providing useful local insights and recommendations for exploring Ooty. Their hospitality truly added a special touch to our getaway.
The location of the villa was ideal, offering both seclusion and easy access to Ooty's main attractions. Whether we wanted to explore the bustling markets or simply relax in the tranquility of the villa, everything was within reach.
In conclusion, our stay at this Ooty villa was a delightful escape from the hustle and bustle of city life. I highly recommend it to anyone seeking a peaceful retreat with a touch of luxury. We left feeling rejuvenated and grateful for the memories created in this slice...
Read moreWe had a family reunion trip organised between 30th sep and 2nd October 2018. Location was breathtaking and food was excellent. But look at the reason why they lost 2 stars too.
They are losing 1 star for room service and lack of timely service of hot water. We have to wait for at least 20 minutes to get coffee delivered to your room. Hot water for bathing never reached the tap as per scheduled time of 6AM. We had to follow up every day.
We booked 8 rooms for 2 days. It is obvious that headcount is more than 20. With that, they must have educated us before hand that vans and tourist buses are not allowed. We got a mini AC bus booked and we were given to understand from their website that vans and buses are strictly banned at the Thalaikunda checkpost 9 kms away. We had to pay 1500 for pick up and 1500 for a drop for 2 jeeps. Also remember that you don't have any vehicle for any local trips as well. You have to rely on their vehicle every time. That's very bad attitude if they are looking at additional transportation charges at the cost of guests inconvenience and tiresome journey from Thalaikunda check post. We had to shell out additional 10k which was not in our budget ar all because of the management which did not educate us before hand on this no entry of...
