OVM RESORTS — Hotel in Tamil Nadu

The resort is located around 5-6km away from railway station.||This place was really awesome place with beautiful green and is treat for your eyes. We had booked a villa and were there for 2 nights and 3 days . We had been there for navagraha temples darshan . I had booked through stayzilla website they had given good offer for 2 days stay.But there was a minor glitch, we had mentioned the timing of departure on 3rd day evening(i.e., the booking confirmation had shown the timings that even included the 3rd day) . However we had a doubt regarding the 3rd day,so we requested the resort manager to give us a suite for 4 people as we would not be in the resort for the whole day and had to depart in the evening of the 3rd day. They readily agreed for it and were extremely supportive.||||Pros:||Lovely greenery and beautiful lake in the front of the resort.||Silent , calm and peaceful place.||Villa was really spacious with 2 rooms and a hall with attached bathroom.||Clean Swimming Pool.||Food was really good and can be custom made on request.||Clean and decent rooms.||Friendly staffs and every request was addressed. ||||Cons:||||Slightly over priced. ||Some bathroom fittings are quite old needs some changes/maintenance||Little more training required for the staffs to act proactively.||They could have included more TV channels , it had mostly only Tamil channels.||||Coming to the food part. We had been there in the villa from 14th Nov to 16th Nov 2015. I think there were nobody else during our stay except may be 1 or 2 rooms had been occupied .|| Breakfast was complimentary during our stay and must say that it was really very tasty and was just like homemade food.We did have dinner on the first night of stay. We had requested them to prepare chapathi, sabji and soup. It was really tasty.||Even we requested them to prepare some chapathi and alu sabji for our train journey. They did it and it was packed neatly. Only draw back was service was a bit slow and no ad-hoc requests were considered. But that's fine and all the basic needs were fulfilled.||||Over all its really worth staying in this resort. ||||Small suggestion would be that if you would like it to spend most of the day at the room, then the money is really worth, else you might find it waste of money if you are not...

Actually I inquired in the resorts for a stay initially but I had another plan for photoshoot and requested the management for taking photos for album purposes within the premises during my stay for the management staff said it would cost around 3500 / day for room and extra 3000 for photoshoot within the premises for 5 hrs I thought to cut down the costs and took another hotel nearby and paid 4000 for a 7 hour photoshoot. When I request the management for a bill for the photoshoot the management is not ready to bill the amount ....the OVM is worst of worst of the worst resorts I have seen ever cheating it's customers charging extra 3500 for photoshoot,though we stay in the resort too greedy persons, also the maintanance is too poor, only selective locations available for taking photoshoot,, should travel quite far for food ,I regret my experience with OVM, the person when asking for a bill behaves rudely never ever visit this resort better the resort can shutdown the rental services for the photoshoot if they can't provide the bill. If you are thinking of a photoshoot go to ooty / Kodaikanal never visit this resort for...

WORST STAY at a RESORT..||Very Very Dirty Resort.||Rooms are not cleaned before giving it to a New Guest.||Reception of the Resort is Filthy. ||Staff moves around Bare foot.||Bed sheets are dirty but are put for New Guests.||Room is not swept. Hair & dirt is flying around.||Bathroom is dirty. ||Shower area has a heap of mud & is not washed.||Sink is leaking with water||Lizards all over the place.||Food is really a LET DOWN.||Basic South Indian Dosa is not made properly.||Dining are is not cleaned after the Guests finish their meals before the next guests come in.||FULL Payment is taken prior to check in so that one cant even leave the place & go.||Extremely BAD or NO MANAGEMENT by the Owner's Son.||A Very well made resort is destroyed & not maintained.||Just built & kept but not interested in running it.||Not a place to stay even if you don't have a choice.||Not worth it even if is a FREE STAY...||TOTALLY...
