Breathtaking view, excellent property :) exceptional service

We cherished every bit of our stay at Xanadu, the property feels so much like home, perfect getaway for people who are looking to escape the city life and concrete jungles. The property is extremely well maintained and it's just so hard to find a flaw. We ditched our initial plan of going to Ooty as we stumbled upon this property when researching on google , at first we assumed the reviews are overrated or paid for as it's so hard to believe that every body scored it a 5/5 but we were so wrong , the place deserves every bit of appreciation and this review as well. The staff and the owners took care of everything , sent us an experienced and cordial driver (Nizam) who drove us through the hills with extreme care and diligence , the cook and caretaker at the property customised our food based on our needs , I was traveling with my mother who is 65+ and has very specific dietary requirements. The cleanliness and maintenance of the property is impeccable and I do hope to visit again and recommend many other friends and family to consider xanadu for their next holiday . The Xanadu, is an absolute feast for your mind, body and soul. The pictures and reviews I read were too true to believe at first until I made up my mind to invest in my first 'workation' during the pandemic in Coonoor at The Xanadu, when moment of truth arrived, the experience was surreal ! Clearly you are entering a homestay enviornment, so ensure you have reasonable expectations. Stayed here for about 4N/5D with 24x7 house keeper, cook, on call cab facility, medical and random requirements or alternate solutions provided for wisely if addressed in time. The amenities, ambience, accessibility, decor, food and beverage, upholstery, courtesy and customer service were all on point. Wonderful experience and awesome place to relax with family and friends, highly recommended for parents as well. The view from the property was mesmerising. The property was easily accessible and away from any crowd or noise. The staff was helpful and polite. Especially Bishnu who is a great cook and host as well.

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED and VALUE FOR MONEY

Cons: Portion of the food is very small, one might end up being not satisfied or partially hungry (only CON). Because there is only one gas/burner, the turnaround time is high and if one order multiple dishes, they will end up in waiting for their food for so long (our kids were like crying for food, they were tired and wanted to sleep however we kept them awake to have dinner followed by snacks)
