“A Mixed Experience at Pragati Resort”
I booked a one-night stay at Pragati Resort to celebrate my wedding anniversary, and while the resort itself has some appealing qualities, my experience was marred by several disappointments.
Positives: • The resort is nestled in a lush green environment, which provides a serene and calming atmosphere, perfect for a peaceful getaway. • The food was delicious, and special thanks to the chef for the quality and taste. • The swimming pool was clean and well-maintained, offering a refreshing dip without overwhelming chlorine. • Sparsh Spa provided an excellent experience—highly recommend it for relaxation.
Areas for Improvement: • Service Quality: The service was subpar for a place that claims to offer a premium experience. Staff interactions were lackluster, and I didn’t encounter the friendly hospitality I expected. • Overcrowded Breakfast Area: During peak hours, the restaurant felt overcrowded, making it difficult to enjoy a meal. I understand weekends can bring in many guests, but better management of the dining space and guest flow would go a long way. • Safety Concerns: At the restaurant, I almost had an accident when I sat on a broken chair that the staff hadn’t noticed. This could have easily been avoided with better attention to the furniture and safety. • Unpleasant Check-In Process for Married Couples: There was an unexpected and rather awkward situation at check-in for married couples. The resort’s policy requires matching names or addresses on the ID cards, which wasn’t communicated during the booking process. Since my partner and I had different addresses and surnames, we were asked to SUBMIT personal documentation like wedding pictures or a certificate. This caught us off guard and felt invasive, especially in front of other guests. Clear communication about such requirements upfront would have been appreciated. • Inconvenient Poolside Experience: We were told that towels would be available at the pool, only to find out later that we needed to pay a deposit for them. This was inconvenient, as we had to walk back to our rooms soaking wet to fetch cash. It’s common at most resorts to provide towels without additional charges, so this was a letdown. • Room Cleanliness and Comfort: The deluxe cottage we stayed in was not up to the mark. We were greeted by a swarm of mosquitoes, and the fridge and AC remote were dirty, with dried gravy stains. This level of cleanliness was disappointing. • Limited Activities and Maintenance Issues: When we tried the ATV rides, only one bike was operational, which was a bit of a letdown considering the resort’s advertised amenities. • Lack of Special Touches: There were no complimentary cakes or even the option to purchase one for special occasions. If you’re celebrating something special, I’d recommend bringing your own celebration items.
Conclusion: While the setting of Pragati Resort is beautiful, the overall experience did not live up to expectations. The service quality, lack of communication on policies, and maintenance issues were significant drawbacks. Despite the pleasant surroundings and good food, I left feeling that my special day could have been better...
Read moreWe had a nightmare and daymare with the pathetic food quality and the service. Informed to the chef and other team members regarding the food, they were defending about the food. Many people were discussing about bad quality of food but no one complained. First of all food taste was very bad, upon that after eating food, we had stomach upset for all family members. The food was not digestible and had vomiting. Very Disgusting Food... Hope the Management take care of this and take professional chefs. Half cooked Paneer was served. Chutney taste was very bad. Chicken taste was very bad.. Biryani dont ask, a road side Hyderabadi Biryani sellers Biryani will be of very good taste. Found some day outing youth were drinking alcohol behind pottery place and openly on the pathway doing smoking... the smoke beads were near the swimming pool also.. The TV was not working properly & surprisingly in TV youtube wont come. In the swimming pool, neatness to be maintained some algae was formed at the bottom. For Day outing, nobody from the staff objecting for the swimming costumes.. Day outing people were entering swimming pool without nylon clothes and some men with bare body, which is very awkward for a big resort like this. I spoke with staff at the swimming pool, they said they know it but from senior level they advised to leave. The housekeeping is very slow. The resort has became like a government place. Kuch bhi dedo kane kho sab chalta hain attitude of chefs. Panipoori fellow was chewing gutka and talking on phone serving panipoori.. very disgusting. The indoor games area is not ventilated and there is lot of heat inside the indoor games building. For Staycation people and Day outing People Breakfast and Lunch had combined dining hall which causes lot of chaos in the dining hall. For Staycation guests, the dining hall should be separate. Party was happening during the night and volume was very high which was creating noise pollution during the night. OVERALL IT IS NOT A PEACE PLACE FOR STAYCATION. NOT AT ALL RECOMMENDED FOR THE PREMIUM PEOPLE, EVEN THOUGH THE RESORT CHARGES PREMIUM AMOUNT AS COMPARED TO...
Read moreStayed for a night(Saturday 2PM to Sunday 11 AM). CheckIn was smooth. Staff explained everything clearly and handed over a sheet with all the amenities and timings. They also showed us where breakfast, Lunch and Dinner are served Positives: Rooms are spacious and clean. Verandah and Mango garden is well maintained. No mosquitoes in property which is a big plus as we have a toddler and very much worried but to our surprise no mosquitoes. Things to improve: Although they have wifi no credentials are provided so I ended up calling reception and they share coupon code which can be avoided if they provided wifi details in room. 2.Airtel dish no channels are accessible with message no balance. Even free telugu channels are not working. Bathroom is very clean but a foul smell is coming from outside or pipes and if they can put some room freshener like air wick will solve the problem. Food We had snacks dinner and breakfast and the taste and spread are good. Better to opt for packages that include dinner and breakfast as alacarte items are very pricy. Amenities: most of the amenities timings are well suited for day out as they start from 10AM. For people planning to reside since checkin only start at 2PM you should hurry as Amenities start closing by 4PM to 6PM. It's better to extend Amenities timings for an hour to two. We missed bullockcart ride as we couldn't find him after 4PM on Saturday and next day we waited for him until 11.20 when we enquired he hasn't started from home. We were also informed that he will be only available on Weekends. Please regularize timings for bullockcart ride. One of the main reasons for choosing this resort is bullockcart ride thinking out toddler would enjoy but ended up not having that ride at all. Birds and hens are caged. Good to have more animals roaming freely like hens and ducks.
On a whole resort greenery pool temple trees play areas all very well maintained. Had a very pleasant time. If you are travelling with toddler consider booking resort for an extra day as you won't be able to cover...
