Chennai Resorts feels like a scam with prices quoted equal to a 5-star hotel and it's a pity that it's in this shape. ||- You have good 5-star hotels like Taj, Sheraton & Intercontinental.||- Or you have local resorts that claim to be 3-star but actually, they are 2-star with pool and garden or Establishments are very old (15 years and above) which don't make sense to stay when you compare them with budget stays on the beach in SE Asia countries like Thailand, Indonesia or Cambodia. ||- another type of accommodation are home/Villa converted into a stay without the hotel service you get which are also overhyped| |Except for Government tourism accommodation which needs to be booked way in advance, finding a decent 3-star hotel for a middle-class family is a wild chase, Add any long weekend/Holidays you're paying a premium.||considering all these, We had a very good experience with our first holiday experience in this resort which was found luckily at the last moment but with a higher price due to the Long weekend/holiday.||We paid INR6000 for a Normal/Deluxe room which had 1 Queen size bed with 1 single bed with a toilet.|Was a worthy one if it was within INR5K (it can be booked for INR 4.5k via Agoda or other online portes if booked in advance)||Pro's |3 Star resort|Has Vast space with 40-50 Rooms and good vibe, not like other hotels or resorts where its crowded|Good Parking space for cars and two-wheelers|Small play area for kids|Access to beach (6 AM to 8 PM)|Breakfast is included||Cons|- Very Poor Food options|- is in the middle of nowhere, in between Kovalam and Mahabalipuram and hence difficult to find any eateries nearby, |- Connectivity: suggested for people with a vehicle/car, if relying on public transport can get dropped off by Ola/Uber/Rickshaw but going back to Chennai is only by local shared auto till Kovalam/Mahabalipuram and then taking a bus which means 2 - 3 hours to reach Chennai|- Beach access can be kept till 9 or 10 PM?|||Amenities that were available / Not available||- 2 x 500 ml Water/ Room|- Tea/Cofee station available|- Refrigerator available|- Room AC available|- TV available (Unfortunately no Recharge was available)|- small garden area|- Big garden for functions|- Swimming Pool with 1ft, 2ft, 3ft and 4 ft depths|- Beach access||- No Hair dryer or iron in the room|- No Shoeshiner or utilities kit|-No Spa|-No Beachside shack to sit and chill|||Can Improve themselves by |- CHANGE YOUR RESTAURANT OFFERING ASAP, No one has a good opinion of the food|- If you think your food is really good (of the 40 rooms, less than 5 rooms had food in your restaurant) Consider giving Breakfast and dinner and wow them with your food.|- Fixing all their rooms with actual 3-star amenities|- reconsidering beach access till 9:00 PM|- Planning a Beach shack for people to chill (At least at the end of your resort)|- Probably having 4-5 resort cars/Taxi will earn them ROI from the people who stay at the weekends|- Plan something to engage the crowd, More board games or a small cricket pitch with Net etc.|- consider running digital ads FB/Instagram Ads to lead customers directly into your website (This will harm your business if you don't fix all the above amenities as people will critise you)||Overall I had a good experience but I honestly felt with the modern world changing you guys can upgrade and make yourself into a...

The TV in the room was fully functional with all the needed channels working without any hitch. The safety locker too was an added benefit.
The restaurant had a very limited set of items on the menu – just a paltry handful – and they were over-priced too. Here are some samples from the orders we had placed during our stay (cost per portion) : Coffee Rs. 60/-, Fresh Orange Juice Rs. 120/-, French Fries Rs. 180/-, Onion Pakora Rs. 160/-, Chicken Fried Rice Rs. 230/-, Kadai Chicken Rs. 350/-, Chapatti (3 nos) Rs. 60/-, Ice Cream Rs. 150/-, Mineral Water (1 Litre) Rs. 35/-. The dishes served were all prepared fresh. The breakfast spread had just the basic south-Indian fare and some bread, butter and jam. Eggs were made to order. Likewise, Dosai and Pooris were served on order. Fair enough, because the day we had our breakfast all the other guests had left and only a couple of rooms were occupied. So no point in having a large spread of food – agreed. The overall quality of the food was average. It was not too good, nor was it bad. But the very limited options and menu choices given sure was a big dampener especially given the cost of each dish and the portion sizes.
On account of the State government’s Covid containment protocols, the swimming pools were not operational. There are three pools of 1-foot, 2, 3 and 5-feet pools abutting each other. If the pools were open, the time spent at the resort would have been that much more worthwhile. But, alas.
The access to the beach was a nice long walk inside the resort's perimeter, with a functional shower provided for the guests to wash themselves of any sand from the body before walking back to the rooms. It must be noted that the sea around there is quite rough. With nobody else around to assist or help, utmost caution must be exercised by the guests not to take any risks or chances to avoid any untoward incidents.
Some areas of improvement that the management should consider are having a better-equipped play area for children, bicycles for use inside their property precincts, improve the F&B menu greatly.
Given the vast open space and with the compound wall, it would be very easy to breed Geese, Ducks and Guinea Fowl. Also, a nice pond with some fish like Koi Carp, Golden Orfe, Pond Sturgeon, Plecostomus, Goldfish, Mollies, Guppies would be nice (having a large aquarium in the reception area too would be a welcome attraction), besides building an aviary with lovebirds, parrots and parakeets. It would also give the guests a lot of quality time to spend at the resort with their kids. For kids, it could prove to be quite an educative and enlightening outing too.
To summarise, Landmark Pallavaa Beach Resort is a fantastic resort for the entire family to enjoy peace and quiet away from all the hustle and bustle of the city.
While it is mostly good, there are still some areas for improvement to make it a great and must-do weekend destination for the...

We were a Whole Family of "Joyful Get-together Families". We were (9 Families - aged from 6yrs to 85yrs old) @ Landmark Pallavaa (in October 2022).
From very first Communication until we Checked-out, there was nothing but excellence in every aspect especially by dear Mr. Sasiharan (Banquet Manager, Landmark Pallavaa). Every minute details of our requests, were more than fully fulfilled by him - with pleasant smile.
The exclusive High Tea, Coffee & Snack arranged for all our families in Private Lawn (without our asking)! Dinner, Breakfast & Lunch were supreme, sumptuous and safe for all ages. They kept on refilling with fresh hot dishes timely.
Our families thoroughly enjoyed the dash & fun in Swimming Pool including kids in totally secured freedom & privacy. The Gaming Hall was one of a kind, aptly fitted all our Tournaments & Games (from 6yrs kids to 85yrs old Super Seniors).
Even after 4 Occupancy, the Rooms were quite spacious. The newly painted Rooms/Corridors gave us a fabulous fresh feel. The Air-conditioning was simply perfect & so refreshing! The geyser's hot water was so warmly comfortable!
We were very peaceful all through, knowing all our 6 Cars were protected by CCTVs 24x7.
All Staff were very polite, happily service minded often enquiring us, if everything was fine. But the best to the core was dear Mr. Sasiharan - who was so understanding, so considerate, very generous and overwhelmingly one with all of us! He made it a "Landmark Experience" for all our 9 Families!
We gratefully appreciate & gladly applaud Landmark Pallavaa Resorts for all your Marvelously Magnanimous Awesome Arrangements you had excellently provided in all ways for all our Families!
Kindly note: This isn't an exaggerated review, but expressed exactly what we enjoyed & experienced! (It's needless to challenge, "Why not take your own families & experience...
