Edit: adding pictures of location. Proof is in the pudding. I've travelled to many domestic places and know that most of the pictures and reviews are fake but this hotel should get an award in fakery. Fake reviews on Google, make my trip, go ibibi and all travel websites!
Imagine whatever beauty you can when seeing the pics and then see the absolute opposite of it in reality.
Location: if you go by Google maps it's location is not correct. Yes it's on the road but the maps show it to be somewhere inside the lanes. They didn't even put a flexi board big enough to notice. We called their phones multiple times and no one answered. Some calls got forwarded to ex employees. On other main numbers no one answered.
Location is the worst. It's right at the main road labour chowk. Dirty and muddy. And it looks nothing like the pictures from the front. The lawn they show is nothing but a small garden that itself isn't anything special.
Room: it's quite small. Upholstery was not as per winter season. You can't sleep in cold cotton upholstery. Food was alright. As per usual indian average. They have paper coffee cup and 1-1 tea bag/sugar/milk each. Which was so embarrassing. Even local oyo rooms give ceramic coffee mugs and at least 2 coffee and tea bags. Kettle was broken and dirty.
Washroom was dirty. No toilet paper. No toothbrush/toothpaste. I'm sure you will say you could have asked. But I did not pay a higher amount than what this hotel deserved to be their teacher.
Service: all the bell boys and service people expected tips at every step. Food comes from a restaurant next to the hotel. Maybe that too is a third party collaboration.
I guess Mathura isn't a big cool place for tourists. That's why the standards are so low that even such a hotel got stars more than 1....
Read moreThe location of the hotel is definitely a plus – it's conveniently situated and easily accessible. However, several aspects of the stay were disappointing.
First and foremost, bathroom hygiene needs serious improvement. The bathroom had a persistent unpleasant smell, and basic amenities like toilet paper had to be requested multiple times before being provided. While it’s possible that the staff was short-handed at the time, such essentials should be ready in the room beforehand. Despite being listed on the MakeMyTrip website, bathroom slippers were not provided either.
Another important point to note is that the hotel does not have a lift. So if you have trouble climbing stairs or are travelling with elderly people, keep that in mind before booking.
The room did not have a mini fridge or mini bar, which may not be an issue for everyone, but is worth noting for those expecting it. Also, the fan in the room was quite noisy, which affected comfort, especially during the night.
Mathura is known for frequent power cuts, but thankfully, the hotel does have a power backup system in place, which helped.
I didn’t try the café, so I can’t comment on the food or service there.
Overall, while the location and power backup are positives, the lack of basic amenities, poor bathroom maintenance, and absence of a lift are significant drawbacks. Suitable for short stays if you're okay with minimal comfort and are able to...

Accommodation and Aesthetics: During my recent visit to Mathura, I chose Hotel Spiti for an 11-hour stay. Despite the rental policy of charging for a full day, the hotel's beauty and aesthetic appeal made up for it.
Polite Staff and Assistance: The majority of the staff members were polite and offered helpful assistance throughout my stay, enhancing the overall experience.
Comfortable Stay: While the rooms may not have been large, they provided a super comfortable environment. The AC, TV, and water heater all functioned perfectly, contributing to a hassle-free stay.
Peaceful Environment: I experienced no disturbances from the staff or otherwise, allowing me to enjoy a peaceful and relaxing time.
Pricing Consideration: Although I found the hotel slightly overpriced, it didn't detract significantly from the overall...
