Do not stay at the Ramada plaza, Lucknow.
When you enter the hotel, you will be welcomed by a swarm of disease carrying mosquitoes. It's unbelievable that a 5 star hotel has such bad hygiene. The staff is rude and could not be less bothered about you. The room service call attender was probably the worst of the lot. He didn't know what was on the menu, nor did he know the prices of anything. Why was he even there? The room is passable, not a lot of conveniences built into it as the other Ramadas do. The food at the restaurant is abysmal and the buffet prices are a rip off. At the entry they will take away a scissor and a shaving blade, etc from you. They will not bother giving it back to you unless you proactively ask them which most won't remember to at check out cause you'll wanna get out of there as soon as possible.
The biggest problem you'll face here is that you are so very far away from the city that you have no option but to depend on the ill-equipped and often horrifyingly incompetent hotel staff for everything. No good restaurants near by either. That's why the room prices are lower relatively but literally everything else in the hotel is over priced cause once you're here, there's genuinely no other option. There are no cabs available near by either cause it's literally out of city limits. The booking did mention a free airport transfer except they didn't give it. Just didn't want to I guess. They say they'll help you with booking an ola or uber. And by help they mean they'll ask you to change the pick up location to "scooter India chauraha" and then ask you to call the driver and negotiate a deal with him to come pick you up which will cost you on an average 150 rupees over and above the actual fare. The location outside the city isn't even justified with great views or peace and quiet. The view is terrible and the hotel is on a highway so there's no quiet either.
The hotel also has a weird policy, some people get extra stuff. People with the same room category will get good morning bags while you don't. Other people seated at the same restaurant with the same buffet plan will be given table appetizers while you will be asked to walk up straight to the main course. I wouldn't even mind paying premium prices for all these services. Customers staying at the Ramada aren't price sensitive, they just want good service in return. I wouldn't have complained at all had the service not been this pathetic after having paid the premium price for it.
The only reason I gave them 2 stars and not 1 is for a few of the staff members because of whom this hotel is even able to barely scrape by regardless of the other rude and arrogant ones. Firstly the lady at the reception, thank you for being kind and understanding. The wait staff at the restaurant (just 2 of them who served me, not sure about the others) , I understand how hard it must be for you to work under such idiotic management and yet you were really friendly. And finally the woman incharge of house keeping calls, thank you for being patient especially with the people working under you. You 4 deserve to be in a much better hotel and I hope you do soon.
Try the sky Hilton instead....
Read morePLEASE BEWARE EVERYONE AS THERE ARE THEIFS IN THE HOTEL AND STAFF IS NOT AT ALL COOPERATIVE NOW PLEASE READ ABOUT MY INCIDENT BELOW- 1- I booked hotel for 3 days including breakfast and dinner. 2- on 24th july i locked door of my room i.e 412 as i have to go for some important work when i returned around 3:30 pm i found following suspicious in my room—- * already card (room key) was there plugged in which is very abnormal as if staff came to clean my room they never leave their card inside. when in hurry i checked my cash there was 3500 missing bag was open also 200 re from other pocket was missing this blowed my mind as this also can happen in 5 star property. immediately I informed reception to solve the issue now here comes 3 characters who are also maybe involved in this act if not then they are responsible for ruining the reputation of hotel and throwing customers out of the hotel, first is tamar raja who is house keeping head who said— card room ke andr isliye chor dete h laga kr jisse ac chlta rhe … that means agr yhaa koi jaye inse 2 card lene jisse aap jab bhar jaye ac chlta rhe ek card use krke. Second what he said is ki eise staff andr ghus jaata haii clean krne that means aap infrom krde bcz their staff will open the room door if you will not open the door never sleep in this hotel. now seond character that is amit ( security incharge) what he does is investigating with the sweeper that enter in my room and he told me kii aap tho abhii 2 din r hai yhaa mai investigation tbtk krunga, 2 baar room me gaya hai sweeper footage dekh rhe cash mil ni rhaa as if chor apni jeb me lkr ghumega cash mtlb they tried to show i can also lie that my cash is stolen as a result i said i will not stay anymore as this is not my issue why i suffer whole day i will bear loss of my 2 days booking with breakfast and lunch that is left but i will not stay instead of refunding my stolen money they made me suffer. now third character that is their manager who has not tried to solve my issue and easily asked for my one bill that i has lunch. 3- they support their staff not what is truth and customer satisfaction.. i may have filled a police complaint also serve legal notice but amount was only 3700 so didn’t wanted to waste my time .. also continuing my 2 days booking was impossible there as i felt unsafe and disrespectful so i sffered around 10k this loss also. 4- STAYED IN VARIOUS GOOD PROPERTIES IN VARIOUS PLACES BUT NEVER MET WITH SUCH IRRESPONSIBLE AND UNPROFESSIONAL STAFF. Read moreA Wedding Nightmare at Ramada – Avoid at All Costs!
I regret choosing Ramada for my wedding, and I strongly urge others to stay far away from this disaster of a hotel! What should have been a joyous occasion was completely ruined by sheer incompetence, lack of professionalism, and outright dishonesty from the hotel staff.
Lack of Management & Organization
From the moment we arrived, it was chaos. The hotel staff had no clue about the event details, and there was zero coordination. Basic responsibilities—like ensuring guests received their pre-booked rooms—were handled with a shocking level of negligence.
The Helpdesk Attitude – Rude & Unprofessional
The helpdesk staff set a new low for customer service. One girl, in particular, had the audacity to roll her eyes every time we asked for assistance. Instead of helping, she acted like we were a burden. A hospitality business with zero hospitality!
Room Allotment Fiasco
Many of my guests faced major issues getting their rooms. Some were told their rooms were "not ready," while others were mysteriously "missing" from the reservation list. Guests who had traveled long distances were left stranded with no solutions.
Reception Desk – Masters of Lying
The reception team blatantly lied multiple times. We requested calls to rooms for urgent coordination, only to find out no calls were ever made. This resulted in confusion, delays, and unnecessary stress for everyone involved.
Ruined Wedding Experience
A wedding is supposed to be a memorable occasion—but thanks to Ramada's incompetence, my memories are filled with frustration and disappointment. The lack of support, rude staff, and complete disregard for service turned what should have been the best day of my life into a logistical nightmare.
Final Verdict: STAY AWAY!
If you’re considering Ramada for a special event (or even a regular stay), DON’T DO IT! Their mismanagement, disrespectful staff, and deceitful practices make this one of the worst hotel experiences imaginable. Spend your money elsewhere—this place is...
