Himalayan Birdsong truly lives up to its name. The birds would start their day at the crack of dawn and regale us with their music. The house is located in a tiny village called Guniyala khal near Pokhari in Chamoli district. Kiran has built a cozy place for herself that has superb views of the Himalayas. In winter one gets to see the snow-clad peaks along with a great sunrise. The house has three rooms, two downstairs and one upstairs. It has comfortable beds, great views from the rooms and clean washrooms. The caretakers Kamla, Ramesh and their son live in the village and took good care of us. They served us their local cuisine that we enjoyed. Each meal was freshly prepared and served hot. We loved their warmth and simplicity. We are more of travellers than tourists. Hence, we enjoyed the village walks, the simple and fresh meals, our conversations with the friendly villagers, the beautiful views around us and the birdsong. Kiran has a good collection of books that one could enjoy. For us, it was the views around and the birdsong that kept us occupied. Himalayan Birdsong is for all those responsible travellers who are looking for fresh air, clean water, local food and an authentic Himalayan...

Just grab your favourite book out of so many available at the cottage and a mug of coffee and get one with the abundance of nature around you. Situated in village guniyala, nicely build, great location, nice homestay with all facilities. You can see Himalayas clearly ..(when the sky is clear obviously) the view in the morning is mesmerizing and the location of the rooms are in the manner that when the sun rises the light directly comes inside the room and the chilly breeze touches your face when you go outside in the balcony... Interior and exterior of the resort you can see in the picture but what you can't see and feel is the breeze ,the smell ,that amazing morning view ,and the clear sky full of stars in the night... The location of this resort is in village guniyala ,pokhari it is amazing town ,you will fall in love with its dusk and dawns trust me.... I live in the same village., I assure you that once you get here you will know .. Although every time of the year is best... But if you want to experience clear sky in nights and breazy mornings then come in october- nov ,if you want to see snowfall then come in dec - jan and if you want to see clouds in front of the cottage then come in...
