I recently had the pleasure of staying at Black & White, a homestay in Pithoragarh, and it was an unforgettable experience. From the moment we arrived, we were made to feel like part of the family by Taveesh Da and Twishaa Di. Their warm and welcoming personalities put us at ease and made us feel right at home.
One of the standout features of Black & White is the breathtaking views of the Panchachuli Mountain Peaks. The property is perfectly situated to allow guests to fully appreciate the natural beauty of the area. We spent hours just soaking in the panoramic vistas from the comfort of the homestay.
But Black & White had so much more to offer than just stunning views. The homestay is pet-friendly and we were thrilled to be greeted by Ivy, Bella, and Zuri, three beautiful dogs who quickly became our companions during our stay. The rooms were spacious and beautifully decorated, and we spent our days exploring the surrounding areas and our evenings relaxing in the cozy common areas of the homestay.
The food at Black & White was another highlight of our stay. Mukesh Da and Shankar Da are excellent cooks and treated us to some of the most delicious meals we've ever had. We were blown away by the variety and flavor of the dishes they prepared for us.
In short, we had an absolutely amazing time at Black & White. Taveesh Da, Twishaa Di, and their team of cooks made us feel like part of the family and we will always cherish the memories we made during our stay. If you're looking for a warm, welcoming place to stay with breathtaking views and tasty food, look no further than...
Read moreWe stayed at the Black and White Resort on October 16/10/2024, on a friend's recommendation. Despite being guests of the District Magistrate of Pithoragarh, we chose to stay at this resort instead of the guest house, and it was a decision we initially felt good about.
The resort's ambiance was pleasing and the surroundings were serene, which made for a good first impression. The staff welcomed us warmly and the rooms were clean and comfortable.
However, the core of a hotel business is service and attending to the basic needs of its customers. Unfortunately, this is where our experience fell short. The menu card boasted a variety of items, but only a few were actually available. This was quite disappointing.
The most significant issue arose early in the morning when we woke up at 5 AM to move to our next stop, Gunji. We found that there was no water supply in our bathrooms for a full 45 minutes. Forget about a hot water bath, there wasn't even water for basic ablution. The staff appeared panicked and were unable to diagnose or fix the problem promptly. As a result, we had to leave without completing our morning activities and hit the road feeling quite uncomfortable.
While the ambiance of the resort is commendable, it is the basic services that truly matter. Unfortunately, our stay was marred by these service issues, which overshadowed the otherwise pleasant environment. P:S- before penning this reveiw I had politely requested the staff to speak to the owner, to doscuss and sort ot the the issue, but he...
Read moreWe chose this homestay because it was pet friendly as the owner already has 4 pet dogs Ivy, Bella, Zuri and one more.
The owner & staff were very hospitable. They've got 3 rooms to offer. 2 big & q a bit small with all attached Washroom and one separate washroom on floor. All rooms have spacious balconies looking over the valley and a sea of houses. The property is next to Naini saini airport not in frequent use as of now. The owner is always available for help with advise to visit nearby places to see and how are the roads n all.
About the facilities, we had some issues with water supply one morning out of our 2N 3D stay.
Food was average but they were offering a wide variety being that remote which was impressive but they can improve the...
