Corbett Jungle Inn is located in Garjia, just 38 KM away from Nainital and deep inside Ramnagar along side mohaan river trek. This property is not like other luxury resorts with Swimming pool & all but a destination which is made for true wildlife lovers. The owner said, they offer raw nature which is true because me and my team witnessed so many wonderful things which Corbett NP is famous for. Our day was quite dull and lazy; however real adventures started when day fall into night. Mr. Kailash Khulbe who himself is a wildlife expert and caretaker of Jungle Inn told us that there is a tusker patrolling around every night, so never to go out of the camp but somehow we took it lightly thinking he might be promoting his site with such rumors same way as property owner does in Rishikesh and Rajaji NP. At 6:00 PM camp had no power supply which continued every half an hour along with constant rain and it made us more thrilled. It was complete darkness all around, the owner’s dog started barking furiously and suddenly Mr. Kailash asked us to stay cool and follow him and in torch light we saw a tusker standing few meters away from the camp gate. It was huge and cracking sound of tree branches was clearly coming to us. Amazing experience to watch such a majestic creature. It was same tusker which Kailash Jee described in the morning. Later on the same night we had a glimpse of Wild boar crossing the road with piglets. At 2:00 AM we heard warning calls of Cheetal from the same spot where we saw the tusker. Next morning we had beautiful river walk which is located just behind the camp. Each evening wild animals come alongside for drinking water and stay all night in river bed and return back early morning to the jungle. Overall…it’s a full PAISA VASOOL...

I spent five nights here in April, and I could have stayed much longer. The setting is very good. A secure compound on top of the river bank. A bird and animal filled narrow strip of forest separates the camp from the river, which can be viewed through gaps in the trees The other side expansive views into wild forest. Both can be observed from the fenced safety of the camp. I saw some wonderful birds without even stepping out of camp. The room was spacious and comfortable, and I was well fed by my host. Chandra also spared no effort in guiding me on trips further afield - walking the riverbed and bank, along the local forest fringes and a magical visit to a local village. I saw a myriad of birds and animals, all safely and with entertaining company.

Corbett Jungle Inn is located right in Forest & is close Durga Devi gate of Jim Corbette. If one wants to experience living right in Forest & always being close to nature then no other place is as good as Corbett Jungle Inn. During my stay in Corbette Jungle Inn in December 2017, we saw more animals living in Hotel than in Safari. We got to experience wild elephant coming next to hotel, deers coming inside premises, deer calling in night at river..etc. If you spend enough time here, there is a very high probability of spotting Big Cat right from Hotel.
