Green Heaven Resort - Chakrata — Hotel in Uttarakhand

One of the finest places to stay in Chakrata. Firstly, the location is just at the top of the hill and secluded so you will not have a hard time to look for the place. The path from road to the resort is also very adventurous but short. Secondly, this resort is a perfect example of peace and price. If you are looking for a getaway with your friends and family without any hassle of a city, this is the place. Thirdly, the owner and his family is extremely friendly and sweet. In my 5 days stay, it felt like parting ways with the family. They are the only one to do things around you, so the food is very tasty and homely. Fourthly, there is no wifi. So you can face some problems there and no TV. I survived on Netflix and star gazing throughout the long stay of mine. Finally, I will highly recommend the place for couples, families and friends. There is absolutely no boundations and immense silence around. One day, we went for the walk on the roads and hiked random mountains.

Also, there is a balutia Top just adjacent to the resort. It is a good hiking spot, just takes 10-15 minutes to travel up. But the view is mind blowing.

If you ever plan to visit Chakrata, look nowhere else. The owner also comes with you to the market and bargains on your behalf....

Terrible Experience – Would Not Recommend

I stayed there on 18.06.2025 and had a very disappointing stay at this resort. The room and toilet were both dirty, and the bedsheet and blanket smelled extremely unpleasant. Cleanliness was clearly not a priority here.

The hotel owner was very rude and completely unhelpful when I raised concerns. The overall service was poor, and the food was bland and tasteless — definitely not worth the price.

To make matters worse, the owner tried to charge me extra at checkout, claiming damages that were completely false. It felt like a scam.

Also, geyser in the bathroom was not working.

I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone — don’t waste your money or your peace...

In Green Heaven resort chakrata, I tour in June end 2025 along with my joint family with total of 21 members including elders and children, and the stay was awesome inside the homestay... Best part is weather and soft behaviour of uncle and aunty with guests... The food quality is really good with great taste along with reasonable price... At first glance you feel like you are in middle of forest but you will never feel unsafe..... Suggest for everyone who loves nature and come for peace in mountains......
